Where is the Outrage over the VA Cop Killed by 4 Gang Members?

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/suspects-in-viginia-police-officer-killing-will-not-face-death-penalty/

Once again, the outrage over the four gang members (one white, three blacks) who carjacked, kidnapped and brutally murdered this 15-year veteran cop is all but buried deep in the archives of newspapers and network news around the country!

Unlike the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, this murder, in March of this year, has vanished except for a recent news flash yesterday on Fox, where they reported that AG Holder removed the death penalty from the table regarding the four gang members being held for trial!

In America, it seems that if a white person is murdered by a person of color, it goes relatively unnoticed ... but if the gun is, in the other hand, it becomes a flash point story of gaining tremendous interest from all forms of media, and since 2008, the president himself!

If racial tensions are going to be seen as a two-way street, the media has to stop instigating and inciting near riot conditions, especially when a white cop is involved!

Last year, when a black cop went on the warpath and took aim at people related to the LAPD, it made news, but even when Dorner killed some white folks in his path of terror and death, you did not see the white community come out and protest, and demand justice.

Sure justice was expected with Dorner, just as with the four gang members in VA, but the community, especially the white community, is not putting on their KKK robes and protesting, vandalizing, and shooting "No justice, no peace!" The white community is not out on each corner of that small VA town, inciting a riot regardless of what the courts do with the four killers. And for sure, the media (the number-one instigator) is missing. And why are they missing? Not because this is not news worthy .... but because they know the white community is not going to get all riled up and excited, which leaves them without any news to write about, or flames to fan!

The white folks do not have their version of the good Reverend Jesse Jackson, or the vitriolic, caustic language of Al Sharpton to incite violence and unrest. So, why are there still a small group of black folks, trying to stir up trouble with every killing of a black person at the hands of a white person, especially if that white person happens to be white?

That is my question. And I'd like some honest views as to why the discrepancy, and when you think, the race card will cease to be played here in the melting pot of the world!

Please don't include the standard responses calling me a racist; or a hater of blacks. This is not true, and if you truly knew me and my professional background, you'd honestly be humbled with such accusations hurled my way!

I am trying to get some honest discussion as to what is at the core or waht is the root cause(s) of the flash-point responses in this nation when a white person kills a black person!

You don't even see this problem come up when a white person kills a person of any color skin, other than black!

Out here, in LA, there is some excitement when a Hispanic and a black person are involved killing each other, and I am hoping that it eventually chills out and never grows to the point that we have seen repeatedly here in America, when a white person kills a black person.

It has to stop, folks! Nevertheless, sadly, I don't have any hope of it happening in my life time! I was so encouraged over the years to see racial tensions become less and less explosive, and then along comes Cambridge, Zimmerman, and now Ferguson! It is a shame for all of humanity that one of the greatest experiments in melting races into one society has yet to put to rest the white on black issues!

Will it ever end? I guess that is also a question I am asking for views on! Thanks for responsible, not political, replies!

Holder is on record that black on white violence cannot be considered a "'hate crime" and that there is no such thing as a black violating the civil rights of a white person.

It's a clear violation of his oath and blatant racism on Holder's part.

That is the world we live in.

Please give up your obsession with race.

As has been said, you can choose to engage in a thread or avoid it. No one forces you to read a thread or be part of it. If you do not like the topic move on. So long as it is within posting rules he is welcome to post on whatever he likes.

Some say I'm "obsessed!" Too bad they can't see how deeply I care for the moral and social fabric of this great nation! I agree with you, that this is the world we live in, and it is a sad world at that. To think that we can't get along with others because of their skin color, or their religious beliefs deeply sadden me!

I weep as I pray, that this nation will one day be bigger than another person's skin color. That mankind will become incensed at the lack of justice or fairness towards another, not based on a person's color! Because under the skin, we are all humans! Made by God! :tear::tear::tear:

While I cannot read ITL's posts or comments (he is on ignore), when I read his words in a report of a post, I can see that once again the left-leaning liberals love to pull out words and applying them to me.

In the past few months, many from the left have decided to proclaim I am obsessed. That is their response every time I write about anything on these forums. You'd think they could come up with something more original than the accusations of be obsessed when it comes to my comments on Obama, or gays, or blacks, or abortion, or doctrinal differences, or Ebola, or the terrorists and terrorism, or, or, or?

Man...if I am so obsessed, than those who must be pointing the finger at me, must be obsessed with me!

You can start by not bringing up skin color in the many posts you make every day.

I didn't say he couldn't post, I said he should give up his obsession with race.

He's outraged because Eric Holder has decided not to seek the death penalty, instead is seeking life imprisonment. That little tidbit of news was the catalyst that sent him on a full scale rant about race. He's disappointed that some black people potentially won't get put to death by the state.

Talking about obsession, you, obviously, are obsessed with analyzing that of which you know nothing!
Or, if that is incorrect and you DO have some special direct line into other's thinking, please elaborate!
Injecting yourself into each and every thread of someone who brings up skin color indicates that you are as much, or more so, obsessed with race as any of those you accuse of same.
You would be much happier if you put those you apparently despise so much on IGNORE. I have done that with 2 so far, and it has lowered my BP considerably. TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT!

Simply read the news story in the links provided in the OP. The news story is that the death penalty will not be sought, which caused RD2 to post WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE!!! So forgive me for connecting the dots. Sheesh, it's not rocket science.

No it doesn't. It shows that I'm trying to point out that some here are seeing most issues through the lens of skin color. And I don't do it in "each and every thread".
BTW, nice deflection. Nice accusation.

With 21 posters on my Ignore List I know all about it. You want a piece of it!

I will remember that next time you choose to be altruistic with someone else again. Your "connecting the dots" seems to be rather convenient.

Look at the OP.

Where is the Outrage over the VA Cop Killed by 4 Gang Members?

This is followed by links to two news stories about the death penalty being removed for the suspects in the 9 month old story.

And then the rant.

So, what possible other conclusion can one draw other than the idea that RD2 is disappointed that the death penalty has been removed?

No, you're not. We're good.

You haven't personally insulted me three times, nor do you bang on and on and on and on about the same thing, nor have you repeatedly said patently stupid things.

ITL a liberal?

And conservatives like to complain that liberals call them names when they cannot make a reasonable argument...

Some say I'm "obsessed!" Too bad they can't see how deeply I care for the moral and social fabric of this great nation!

 I almost choked on some air I was laughing so hard. What I see is a person concerned about the politics of this great nation. Too many of you seem to think that your politics equates to the moral and social fabric. It doesn't.

If folks---specifically CHRISTIANS--- were really concerned about the moral and social fabric of the nation, they'd display more of the love of Christ that points people to repentance and salvation. And stop this foolishness of mistreating folks based on political positions that aren't eternal.

I agree with you, that this is the world we live in, and it is a sad world at that. To think that we can't get along with others because of their skin color, or their religious beliefs deeply sadden me!

It doesn't sadden you enough to stop feigning concern that's not backed up by your words every day.

I weep as I pray, that this nation will one day be bigger than another person's skin color. That mankind will become incensed at the lack of justice or fairness towards another, not based on a person's color! Because under the skin, we are all humans! Made by God! :tear:

Maybe it's just me. But I get nothing of sincerity out of that because I never see anything in your words and actions that back it up. You say it, and it just comes across as contrived and fake IMO.

Perhaps one of the only times I've ever seen you speak words of sincerity that matched up with the love of Christ was when you spoke of your daughter.

If you want to express concern for the moral and social, then express Christ.

Yes, and I concur. But I believe we both could reach our conclusion about their ultimate fate without regard to their race. So, why does RD2 need to bring it up?

We can. It was a premeditated heinous crime.

But knowing Holder, I'm not sure he can.
