Recently saw a documentary from the USA interviewing "prophets" on the topic of end times. (They were probably just demon possessed freaks really.) Anyway, none of them saw anything good for the USA. Through a process of earthquakes and natural disasters you will lose basically the whole of the west coast. So, time to move inland by the looks of things.

More likely though. USA will probably decline in international influence and become of little significance in relation to Israel. As Scriptural prophecy is given normally in its relation to Israel it is not surprising the USA is not easily defined in the Bible.

Post-trib, premillennial - but with the saints going (as John 14 describes and 1Thess 4 describes and most pre-trib believe) - to Heaven.

God news - The US IS in the book of Revelation.

Suppose the world ends tomorrow - or in 3.5 years. You could not speak of the last 2000 years without pointing out that it all came down to massively increased technology and ONE superpower - the United States. The comparison between our age and those of 300 years ago is drastic. They had the same mode of transportation 250 years agao - as they had 2500 years ago, and also 4000 years ago.

Many Bible scholars among the reformers assigned the rise and demise of the Holy Roman Empire and world-wide Catholocism to the first beast of Rev 13 - whose deadly wound was received in the late 18th century as the pope was taken captive by the french.

IF you follow that view - it means that the next nation to rise (in the late 1700's) according to chapter 13 - would eventually dominate the planet by its influence.

Odd that it turns out that way. [IMG]

I believe it is entirely possible that the US is Manassah, who was half Egyptian & half Israelite (why do we have a pyramid on our money, obelisk for Washington Monument, Eagle as our standard, 13 colonies, 13 stars & stripes, olive branch & arrows in eagle talons on our great seal, and other things, then, coincidence?), the UK is Ephraim, and therefore, we are mentioned in the book of Revelation & OT prophecy as part of the House of Israel. Bible prophecy says the Houses of Judah (Jews) and Ephraim (to include the other tribes except Levi) will be reunited - two sticks in Ezekiel 37, 38 but they won't understand or know who their real identity is until God's timing.

This belief is presently dismissed as far-fetched, labeled as Armstrongism. But why do the US, UK, & Israel stand together...could it be more than "meets the eye?" There are a growing number of Christians under the UK Crown & in the US along with Jews who believe this. However, it is not mainstream theology. But it is a fascinating study if one has an open mind, and can be totally backed up with Scripture in OT & NT.

Lately I've also started to wonder if the United Nations HQ will be moved to Baghdad / Babylon some time before the battle of Armageddon...in light of all this Iraq business.

Just some thoughts...no rotten tomatoes please... [IMG] But did anyone click on the links I posted earlier?

Or on the other hand, the US will probably be nuked when 1/3 of the earth is destroyed.

Unfortunately, on 09/11, I read Rev. 18 about the merchants crying afar looking at the destruction of the Great Whore/Babylon & it seemed like it could be referring to that, too.

At any rate, I do believe the trumpet will blow before any of this takes place. But then again, maybe not, maybe American Christians will have to suffer like Christians do in other parts of the world.

Okay, can you tell I'm tired being that I'm rambling & droning on & on....???? Now I'm going to bed & get some [IMG] :D
