Where were you when you heard that JFK had been shot in Dallas?

What were you doing?

I was in a Reference Class at James Madison University researching a question when another student walked over to me and told me that Kennedy had been shot.

4 years old, we had just moved from the town (300 people) to the big city (15,000 people), yet I remember my 6-year-old sister told me about it when I was outside by the swing set at the old house, which happened to be by our grandparents' house. That's how I first learned that kennedy was a shot president.

I had just come home from kindergarten and was eating lunch. My mom was watching soap operas on TV (As The World Turns) when they broke into the show with news bulletins.

What prompted you to bring up the JFK assassination?
