We take our freedoms so much for granted in the west. Our brothers and sisters in other countries are being persecuted, here in Pakistan but also in the last few days in Nigeria.:praying:

and some, who know nothing apparently, and like not knowing anything so they can continue to deny it, will falsely tell us these are peaceful people, all the while all over the world muslims are slaughtering christians. you won't see any true outrage from some who beleive the lies about peace.

I didn't read in the article that the gunmen were muslim, but a group of masked militants.
Is it just assumed the gunmen are muslim because World Vision is a christian group?

No...it is assumed because the country is predominately Muslim and that is their normal behavior.

Thanks for the posting the link to the Nigeria incident (which was an unnecessary appraisal for an earlier event where Christians killed Muslims.)

In Egypt, a couple of months ago, as Christians were leaving a church a car drove by and fired into the crowd killing many. Things are getting out of control with extremists.

We are very sheltered in America. Most Christians live in a persecuted era across the world. We are blessed not to live in persecution.

We are sheltered to a certain extent, but we paid for that shelter with our blood. We don't have as much violence against one group or another, because we don't allow it. We have both the means AND the will to defend ourselves. Other countries lack both.

How sad.

Where's the outrage also regarding the 200 Christians that were slaughtered in Nigeria by Muslims? I didn't even hear the news report on the news - they just ignored it. This happened just this weekend. Here's a CNN report on it http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/africa/03/09/nigeria.violence.explainer/index.html?iref=allsearch

Some analysts believe the weekend slaughter was a revenge attack for the killing of around 150 members of the Hausa Muslim community by Christian mobs in Kuru Karama, south of Jos, in January 2010.

Should christians not take up responsibility for the Christian mobs who killed Muslims in January 2010?

This is not an isolated incident. According to the article, this has been going on in that area between Christians and Muslims for some time.
