Independent, Fundamental, Sovereign Grace, Missionary, Pre-Mill/Pre-Trib, NIV/NASB preaching

, Calvinist, Predestined by the free will of God's foreknowledge and election, and a sinner saved *only* by the Grace of God through Jesus Christ...... BAPTIST!

I have never "belonged" to anyone but Jesus, he has bought me with his own blood. I see no reason to give my self any other `label` . Denominations - what are they for? There is one God and one Saviour, and The Holy Spirit which comforteth us.

I grow up in a IFB church. Then moved over to GARBC. What I really find a hoot is the Primative Baptist who have websites set up to say they are primative. I laugh my head off ever time I see one that has a website.

mesing, your fun probably comes by way of misunderstanding the meaning and use of the word "primitive" in reference to Baptist churches. It means "original."

Well, I was raised Missionary Baptist all my life. When I married and moved away I joined a really good SBC church.

What I don't understand is what is the real difference between the two because as far as I can see, one didn't teach me anything different from the other. And yet I was almost ostrasized by the Missionary Baptists. There are no doctrinal differences. Only differences in how the money is spent on Missionaries. If I'm wrong, please enlighten me.

I'm a saved Baptist belonging to IFB church.

I am also curious to the differences. I know the difference between Southern and Independent but what is the difference in ABC and Missionary and both of them in relation to Southern? Is doctrine the same?
