    Pastor Bob,
I would like to know if you have ever read the preface to the KJV 16ll?

    Thanks,
    In Christ,
    Bobby

Since I have newly returned to the Translation Forum (after a year's sabbatical) I am enjoying the debates. Appreciate the good information and clear statements of belief.

As far as I can summarize it some believe:</font>
    • AV1611 was the culmination of all English translations</font>
    • KJV1769 revision was the culmination of all English translations</font>
    • NKJV1982 was the culmination of all English translations
      or</font>
    • Many different English translations prior to AV1611 were all legitimate and God's Word</font>
    • Many different English translations after AV1611 were all legitimate and God's Word</font>
Think I've got it. And still waiting for evidence for 4 of the 5!

    This is axiomatic:
All English versions of the Holy Bible
are legitimate and God's Written Word
    and are infallible, being Divinely
    Preserved for us this hour.

    Being axiomatic, it requires no
evidence or other form of proof.

    Romans 10:17 (nKJV):

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Don't know ANYONE who would agree with this and hold that position as "axiomatic".

Except some Jehovah's Witnesses who would be THRILLED to have their intentionally-perverted English translation considered as "inspired".
