In the English speaking world an English translation is helpful.
In the Spanish speaking world it helps to have a Spanish translation.
The French need a French translation.

I think we all agree with that. Unfortunately, some have used wrong standards to define corrupt and have ended up attacking the word of God because of their personal preferences.

I prefer a Byzantine based version, so I prefer the KJV, NKJV, MKJV, and BTM.
But reading and living by ANY bible is better than none!

BTM is typical underhanded "slam" against those not in the kjvonly sect because of the proliferation of so many new English translations.
Me? I REJOICE that there are so many. The choice of wording of a translation in one just might touch YOU where nothing else will.
I prefer the Greek texts that are NOT eastern orthodox (USB) so opt for translations like the NASB or the GET Real Bible.

BTM = Bible for the Third Millennium, now marketed as the Third Millennium Bible or TMB.
It is touted as "neither a new translation nor a revision but an updating of the venerable and historic Authorized (King James) Version (AV) of A. D. 1611. While easier to read and understand than the Authorized Version, it preserves the traditional biblical language and sacred message of its historic predecessor."

"bible of the month" was a derogatory term used against any non-KJVO here at the BB until such phrases were banned.
While Dr Bob and I might have misunderstood the abbreviation "BTM" He, I and everyone else who is non-KJVO suffered verbal attack and persecution by the implication and innuendo of the phrase. Ad hominem is the hallmark of the strategy of the KJVO leadership and clones. Another is to engender strife among those who oppose their doctrine, then sit back and laugh.

I think we need to lighten up here. I did not take the BTM remark as being a purposeful slam. It seemed more like an attempt at levity.
But others have (in it's derogatory meaning) and that is a problem. Not all BB members have your level of maturity (evident from your posts). This is a divisive issue with plenty of guilt to go around. Occassionally I and others feel the necessity to speak up when spirits are being wounded.
