Indianapolis received a white Christmas today for the first time since 2010.

Does anyone else have a white Christmas?

No we are having a mild spell here in the South East of England, it was about 11C today. Well above freezing. We did have a few flakes about a month ago. The only snow I have seen in the last week or so was our local fire service with santa hats, outside the local Tesco supermarket, and they had a snow machine. Not sure what they were up to apart from that, something with children, I expect,

Fed chickens/outside dogs and walked the electric fence around 0730 this morning, about 23F. Went in, fixed breakfast, wind got up and we had a mini blizzard that lasted about 30 min and left about a 1/2" dusting.

So, yea, we had a white Christmas, mostly. :)

What is the definition of a white Christmas? Here is the UK version.

"For years, Christmas was declared "white" if a single flake of snow was observed by a professional meteorologist falling on the roof of the London Weather Centre.

The Met Office has now broadened its definition to extend to other parts of the country, although the snow still has to be recorded by a professional." [The Telegraph]
So however much snow you get in your area, unless it is recorded by a professional it is not a white Christmas.

Have just enough snow to cover the lawns here in Minneapolis. Pretty cold at minus 4 degrees though.

That cold with no snow cover for insulation are ripe conditions for frozen/ bursted pipes/water mains down here. The longer the condition lasts, the farther the cold creeps in.

ED9A394C-2794-468E-AF38-A0D006910E70.jpeg it started snowing around nine A.M. this morning.
We got twelve to sixteen inches in northern Maine.
That’s on top of the snow we traveled through to get here Saturday.

Tumwater, WA, just south of Tacoma, three inches of snow on the ground and it's coming down right now. One faucet on dripping so the pipes won't freeze and burst.
