White House Issues Climate Report
By SETH BORENSTEIN,AP

WASHINGTON (May 29) - Under a court order and four years late, the White House Thursday produced what it called a science-based "one-stop shop" of specific threats to the United States from man-made global warming.

Finally the White House complies with the law and a court order. If you or I tried to stall for four years we would be ..................................................... fill in the blank.

Here are some major conclusions of the report:

More death and damage from wildfires, hurricanes and other natural disasters and extreme weather. In the last three decades, wildfire season in the West has increased by 78 days.

Increased insect infestations and food- and waterborne microbes and diseases. Insect and pathogen outbreaks to the forests are causing $1.5 billion in annual losses.

"Finally, climate change is very likely to accentuate the disparities already evident in the American health care system," the report said. "Many of the expected health effects are likely to fall disproportionately on the poor, the elderly, the disabled and the uninsured."

The report was required by a 1990 law which says that every four years the government must produce a comprehensive science assessment of global warming. It had not been done since 2000.

And shouldn't have been done this time.

The response should have been one sentence.

"None that anyone can prove."

The fanatic will never believe. Those who choose to be blind will never see, but will wonder what happened when they are run over by a train.

Just as soon as you can conclusively prove that "global warming", as it's called, even exists, let alone is caused by man, get back to me.:wavey:

You cannot prove that God exists. Following your logic then you should not believe in God. Oh well ..............

You're saying it's a matter of faith.

Ludicrous.

Don't bother me anymore with your jokes. I want to see your proof.

It's put up or shut up time.

Or you become the joke.

Maybe you should start the "Church of Global Warming".

Al Gore can be your Pope, and Nancy Pelosi can be your outreach director.

You faith seems to be only in what can be proven and that means God is excluded. Now there is evidence of God, but evidence will not convince the hard-core disbeliever.

Same with you and global warming. The evidence is building, the clues are there but you refuse to even consider it a possibility. At least GB and his admin. are finally beginning to see the light.

That's what I thought.

You can't "put up".

Guess what's next...

But I'm done with you on this subject anyway. It's apparent you have nothing important or concrete to contribute. Your red herring is a flop.

The punchline is in and you're it.

You stop because in your heart-of-hearts you know you are wrong. You wish you were right, but deep down you know you are wrong. All the signs are there, but circumstancial evidence is not enough. Same with your view of God also I guess ... if you are consistant.

As with so many in your camp you begin blowing smoke and attempting to insult to cover your errors. Now, why not be rational?

FYI

As announced Thursday by PR Newswire via StreetInsider.com:

Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (OISM)

Who: Dr. Arthur Robinson of the OISM

What: release of names in OISM "Petition Project"

When: 10 AM, Monday May 19

Where: Holeman Lounge at the National Press Club, 529 14th St., NW,
Washington, DC

Why: the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (OISM) will announce that more than 31,000 scientists have signed a petition rejecting claims of human-caused global warming. The purpose of OISM's Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of "settled science" and an overwhelming "consensus" in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climate damage is wrong. No such consensus or settled science exists. As indicated by the petition text and signatory list, a very large number of American scientists reject this hypothesis.

It is evident that 31,072 Americans with university degrees in science - including 9,021 PhDs, are not "a few." Moreover, from the clear and strong petition statement that they have signed, it is evident that these 31,072 American scientists are not "skeptics."

Folks should recall that this petition was first circulated in 1999 garnering more than 19,000 signatures. The alarmists discounted its significance because there were some duplicate names, and some of the signatories apparently weren't scientists -- or so the story goes.

With over 31,000 now on the list, all with degrees in science -- including 9,000 PhDs! -- what might this do to the nonsensical premise of there being a consensus concerning this issue?

Probably not much, because apart from conservative websites, talk radio hosts, and Fox News, nobody is going to report it.

Comparing belief in Global Warming to faith in God is asinine and desperate.

Yes, but it's a red herring. He has nothing else to offer.

And the responses to this comment show that once again, the illogical masses miss the point made here. As ;you said, Oh well.

No, we didnt miss any point...we just think it is silly.

Crabtownboy is implying that beleif in global warming takes faith, and that if we dont have faith in global warming, then how we have faith in God

Well Carpro, the anti-christ will certainly need gullible and naive people to convince to follow him. Seems there are plenty. He will have an easier time if they have broad faiths. This man caused global warming issue could be viewed as a trial run.
