The New York Times is indeed a great piaper, one of the few left. Sure, like any publication, it has had a few issues over the years. What daily publication would not?

But of course, the Chicago Tribune, now sadly in bankruptcy, billed itself as the World's Greatest Newspaper...giving rise to the call letters of its radio & television stations...WGN.

OBAMA ELECTED PRESIDENT.

Wasn't Obama elected because he was going to fix these things? Make everything better? Bring hope and light against the "coming darkness"?

So how come JustChristian is focusing on blaming Bush?
Mr. Obama is not the president. Bush is, and has been for eight years. When the team is losing, the coach gets fired and takes the blame. It is called accountability.

I'll ask you the same question. What do you think is the best newspaper in the U.S.?

Unlike you and crabtownboy I don't subscribe to every newspaper in the country but I do know that the NYT has routinely shafted Bush and the country, particularly in publishing classified material leaked by rogue elements in the CIA.

I would say they the NYT is the worst paper in the country. In the old days of outdoor toilets it might have sufficed as a wipe, but that is debatable.

I would say that the NYT is the worst paper in the country followed by the Atlanta Constitution. In the old days of outdoor toilets both might have sufficed as a wipe, but that is debatable.

Here's an instance where the "best newspaper in the world" (lol) refused to run an op-ed piece by the FBI agent who infiltrated the Bill Ayer's group of terrorists......in response to Bill Ayer's op ed, which they did run....proving they are a liberal rag not worthy of using to train a puppy.

The question goes to you. What is the best newspaper in America? Nobody seems to be able to answer that question.

Because there probably ain't one. Anyone who relies on any newspaper one nowadays isn't getting a complete picture. I haven't read a "newspaper" in years.

Well, actually I haven't many printed newspapers in years either. i try to cut down on incoming paper (piles up) and read almost everything on line if that's what is meant. But I still end up reading the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal the most. Every now and then it's interesting to look at the London Times to get a different perspective. I also like the Courier Journal (Louisville), the Raleigh News and Observer, the Atlanta Constitution and various other newspapers from places i've lived before. However, I'm talking about the content provider not the physical newspaper.

Some of the best:

in the southeast: the Mobile Press Register: Their investigative reporting rivals much larger papers. They are fairly balanced in their editorials.

I have held the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in a fairly high esteem, though I haven't read it much the last year or two. Consistent, though; and fairly balanced.

I used to read the New York Post but got tired of slogging through the junk.

Least favorite:

New York Times
Atlanta Journal-Constipation
USA Today.

Actually the question borders on moronic. It is in the same class as :

1. Who is the best looking man in the world, or

2. Who is the sexiest woman in the world, or

3. Who was the best football coach in the world. or

4. on and on ad infinitum.

That rouses my curiosity, where do you get your news so you can make an informed decision beside the AP? I've visited the AP web site several times and if you do not subscribe to their services there is very little you can watch or read there free.

Old Regular wrote "Unlike you and crabtownboy I don't subscribe to every newspaper in the country." I do not subscribe to any newspaper. I read the newspapers and magazines online. Save a forest, read online! [Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, hmmmmmmmm, is reading online liberal?]

I don't know. There are hardly any news sources on the web.
