Who Dies In Harry Potter?

I am oft disturbed by this premise that because things are make-believe that all is well. I believe this contradicts scriptural teaching for the Bible says things like...

"Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners." - 1 Corinthians 15:33​

Televisions, books, magazines and movies are all methods of communication. To read or watch evil communications and think that it will not corrupt your manners is to be deceived according to the word of God.

I believe it is safe to believe that works of the flesh are evil and they are itemized in the below verse...

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." - Galatians 5:19-21​

If we take a movie that promotes adultery such as "Fatal Attraction", "Titanic", "The English Patient" or thousands of other contemporary films, it should be apparent that scripture calls this stuff a work of the flesh. Once we determine that these films contain works of the flesh, then it would seem that we would return to the verse that says evil communications corrupt good manners.

Let's take the next work of the flesh, fornication. It is a rare Christian that says the viewing of pornography isn't sin. Well, why do we make a big deal out of it when it is just make-believe fornication? Is reading erotic books acceptable because it is make believe? God forbid.

Skipping to idolatry...what if we just pretend to pray to another God? If we come to a statue of Buddha, fall to our knees and lay our hands out, get up and say "psyche", do you suppose that's cool with God?

Then we get to witchcraft. Witchcraft is a work of the flesh. Allow me to say that again for emphasis, witchcraft is a work of the flesh. What is the Biblical argument that says we should put witchcraft before our eyes and read 7 books and a lesser number of movies that promote this work of the flesh? What is the Biblical argument that says works of the flesh are bad unless they are make believe? Finally, are we not deceiving ourselves to think we can read and watch this work of the flesh and think that it will not corrupt our good manners? Is their not a reason why the witchcraft sections in Barnes & Noble and like bookstores is increasing? Is there not a reason why witchcraft books are predominant in Wal-Mart (including books about real witches)? Is there not a reason why Wicca is a fast-growing faith?
