If you are an undecided in the upcoming election, may I offer a suggestion? Ask any foreigner or member of the Muslim community who they support to be elected as the next President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama or John McCain, then vote for the one that receives the lesser amount of support.

Right, because the most sincere desire of foreigners is for the USA to get the worst president available. Your logic is impeccable.

If you went to the streets in average town Iraq, you'd get very favorable reviews of GWB, and Cutter's point, as it pertains to America is valid, IMO.

The characterization "foreigner" is not helpful. It may not have been the intent of the OP to do so, but this is a divisive word that really should be avoided by followers of the gospel. And, yet again we have the name "Hussein" used to suggest an otherwise unsubstantiated connection to Islamic extremism. This is not helpful.

And this post also implies that the goals of the "Muslim community" are to subvert the interests of the American people. Once more, this is not a constructive way to do politics - it appeals too much to an "us vs them" mentality.

Our role as obedient Christians is to work for "the bringing together of all things in Jesus Christ". Now while this does not entail unity at any cost, it really should involve efforts to break down man-made walls that divide people - the whole mindset where it us "us" and "foreigners" or "us" and "the Muslim community".

Anyone but Bush

I'm sure the Muslims of this world would love to see Bush fade into the sunset, and BHO take the reigns of the capsized ship. I have read that Radical Islam is hopeful that BHO will be more reasonable, and not so quick on the draw.

With BHO as our commander-in-chief, we should have an interesting four years. I am willing to go out on a limb and say that within the first 30 days of BHO's presidency, somehow, someway, somewhere they will test the resolve of BHO. Let's hope he has the moral fortitude to do what's right in the best interest of this country. Carter was weak in the eyes of terrorism, but, terrorism in Carter's day is not what it is today. Should BHO blink when tested, the USA could be the first nation in the free world to go down in defeat to a group of terrorist thugs.

So what say you???:type:

I think that only American voters should decide who our next president will be.

If that is prophetic, I'll take it as Gospel and breathe a little easier when I go to bed tonight Rev. Mitchell.

Considering that our current president has been dubbed with that lable and others like it, was he the one these 'foreigners' desired to become, and remain, the president?

PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEE!

Have we become so wussified that a person cannot use the title foreigner to signify someone of foreign descent?
And your constant crying about Barack Hussein Obama's name is pathetic and childish! Grow Up!

You mean to grow up into a wordly compromiser, willing to engage in the tactic of using smear and innuendo, usiing an "ends justify the means" approach to doing politics?

No thank you, I will leave that path to the many here who seem more than willing to take it.

Obviously, only Americans get to vote. But equally obviously, to those who know the Scriptures, Christians are a single world-wide family. And the actions of the American president affect the world, as has sadly been re-inforced in last few years. It is therefore entirely appropriate for all Christians to enter a discussion about electing an American president.

Cutter, let me ask you a question: Is it accceptable for a Christian to make a statement that suggests that person "X" has connections to a villanous group "Y" without providing the supporting evidence for that connection"?

Like.... a foreigner is not a foreigner?
Or like Barack's middle name is Mario instead of Hussein?

Quite right Andre. Obama's middle name is irrelevant, and voting just to annoy the rest of the world is silly. Now you don't want to be giving ground to radical Muslims, but why vote just to annoy people in Europe (for example??). When you say foreigner, do you mean somebody who lives outside the USA who isn't American, or does ''foreigner'' include people of foreign descent who have moved into the USA?

Are you going to answer my question or not? Is it accceptable for a Christian to make a statement that suggests that person "X" has connections to a villanous group "Y" without providing the supporting evidence for that connection"?
