It's an old beef going back well over over a 1000 years. The Hegira, The Crusades, the Inquisitions, etc.

The moolahs keep opening these ancients wounds, pouring in the salt. They don't make a distinction between the institutions within professing Chistendom (or outside of it) just lump us all together as "infidels" and "polytheists".

Yeah, not that we would ever make the mistake of lumping all Middle Easterners in with the radical Wahabiists.

    Amazing case of liberal hypocrisy.

She can see that it is their oil but can't see that it is my money that she wants to confiscate and redistribute to the "oppressed" class of her choice.

Yep. Liberal knee jerk at its best.

You're right Daisy... It is all our fault. Shame on us for not wanting a terror sponsoring state led by a maniac with a big grudge getting WMD's... How stupid, opportunistic, xenophobic, and hateful of us?

This its all America's fault non-sense that you liberals always toss out is worse than ridiculous.

You know, we all realize that America isn't perfect and perhaps even our ideals aren't perfect... OTOH, you as a woman aren't considered the property of a man... and you aren't in danger of having your genitals mutilated by a jealous husband/father/brother who will not only be acting legally but will be given credit for being merciful in that he didn't kill you.

Man, you've missed it by a mile.

Although I doubt it will make a dent <personal attack deleted-LE> that isn't what we liberals said, dear.

But then I havent't seen anything in the Bible that tells us to kill anyone who doesn't believe like we do.

The Quran is a different story.

Yeppers - ours says, "Love your enemy" and "Turn the other cheek"....less satisfying vengencewise, perhaps, to many.

I haven't read much of it, but I get the impression that it says so many contradictary things that there are a lot of different quotes to mine (plus the usual Reform, Orthodox, Mystical, etc. interpretations).

&lt;quote of deleted personal attack deleted - LE&gt;</font>
Roughly the same as your immediate insertion of Iraq as an example of how we aren't really any better than they are...

You may not like the political decision but we went after the bad guys and did everything possible to minimize collateral deaths and losses. These people are using this as an excuse to abuse Christians who had nothing to do with it.

    </font>
It's not as mystical concerning muslim treatment of Christians and Jews as you make it out to be.

    EXCERPT

Second, most Muslims interpret the Quran by the principle of nasikh, which essentially means that the later passages supercede the earlier passages and totally negate them.

The Quran was written over a 22-year period. In the early years, when Muhammad's following was small and he was militarily weak, he wrote the 114 verses that speak of living peacefully with others. By the end of his writing, when he was militarily strong and had a larger following, he penned verses that declare that all infidels must be destroyed or submit to being totally subjected and humiliated.

    SNIP

Sura 9 appears at the beginning of the Quran, but it is one of the last texts written. It declares that all infidels should be killed or completely subjugated. These later verses, which overrule the 114 peaceful verses, are what drive the current jihad movement.

You let Scott post this about me "... having your genitals mutilated..." and delete what I said????

That's just wrong. What he said to me was hideous, threatening and uncalled for.
