So China "does capitalism better" because it is unbridled?

Read the entire article carefully. It does a much better job than I can in explaining what is going on.

By the way, there is, to me, a very disturbing article in Foreign Affairs about the decline of the US. Look it up and read it and tell me what you think.

I read the article - and I listed out the differences that the article addressed.

You dismissed it all as "politics" and not economics.

Instead of assigning reading homework - why don't you venture an answer when it calls for your opinion?

You started the discussion - how about participating in it instead of relying upon the opinions of other writers?

Otherwise - why even bother starting the thread?

The topic of the article is economic policy, capitalism, not political policy. I figured there would be some on the BB who would find it interesting.

And that article also addresses political policy - so why are you dismissing it?

Maybe next time you should redact the articles before putting them up for discussion if there are parts that you don't want to talk about.

Foreign Affairs is an excellent magazine with in-depth articles.

You can find it at:

http://www.foreignaffairs.com/

I am wrong about the article that disturbed me. It was not from Foreign Affairs. It is in Foreign Policy magazine at: http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2011/01/02/think_again_american_decline and to me it is a very scary article.

There is an interesting article in Foreign Affairs with the title of Why the Rich Are Getting Richer

Tag repeats himself with the same question ... look at the title Tag, look at the title. And please stop the inane questions. Add some substance to the thread. Everyone will appreciate it very much.

The Foreign Policy article fails to mention China's population of 1.3 BILLION as a potential problem for their economy.

I am aghast and near apoplexy with Crabby's obviously anti-American Bias and head hidden in the sand mentality.

It is no wonder the World scoffs at Christianity when people who name the name of Jesus espouse an agenda that can not be separated from the world's rhetoric.

With the "love" of China's "capitalism. Crabby is also honoring their one child rule, hundreds of thousands of forced sterilizations and abortions.

You can not separate the political system from its economic system.

The economic system could not stand without its multitudinous human rights and religious implications. Of which China is premier in violating.

[Stated in pun, of course :D]
I respectfully request a fund be created to hire some ex Special Forces
types to drop Crabby in the middle of China and see how he does in his beloved China and free of the influence of that hated America.

Targus, C.T.Boy does not speak for me, and it is arrogant & dishonest for him to say he does. If anything, I would apprectaite C.T.Boy taking his hatred somewhere else.

Don't worry Curtis, I have never confused you and your opinions with Crabby and his.

I find your stunning ignorance of human rights violations very interesting.

Disturbing, too.

Also....are you in Prague now....I got family there. Charlie built nice towns didnt he?

Crabby's next article will tell us how much better Stalin built walls than Americans...and how we ought to emulate 1950's Berlin.

China has discovered "Robber Barron" Capitalism and the US is going in the same direction.

Last night heard the president of GM say his new hires are real happy to work for $13/hour, no benefits. He said GM wages are now comparable to Japanese and Korean wages. How many of you would be real happy to live in the Detroit area and make $13/hour, no bennies?

I wouldn't live in Detroit for any amount.

Detroit was rough when I lived there - in the inner city - during during high school in the late 60's

Now it's a ghost town - with about 35,000 vancant houses and 100,000 vacant lots from houses that were torn down.

Where are they getting (qualified)labor at that payscale? Wondering what the quality of the product released will be. The auto industry has some stiff competition.
