I'm not offended at all. And thank you for being frank with me. What you noticed is my reaction to a little history that exists between me and webdog. I don't have much patience with him, and I'm not good at pretending.thomas15 said:Aaron, It is very obvious that you have studied theology and I give you a lot of credit for that. Of course, pre/post and so fourth are not show stoppers as there have been men used of God throughout history on both sides of the coin.
I don't know you Aaron. I guess though what comes to mind reading your posts is the thought that you wander around from theology to theology. Not to argue that a person should stick to one theology to avoid change or to be stubborn. But there is a certain defensive quality in the tone of your words.
This leads me to believe that (right or wrong) you may change your position again if you find it convenient, which is of course is your right to do. This is just my observation, please don't be offended.

Thanks, Allan. That's exactly right. In fact, I was in love with a devout RLDS girl at the time I was researching these things. We were going to marry. It was heartwrenching. She couldn't leave what she saw as truth, and I couldn't deny the things that I had learned. So we said goodbye, and I died.Allan said:I'm not Aaron but if I may:
I would not say he would change when he finds it convient but biblcally necessary. You may know all there is to know about scripture and therefore have never needed to change a thing in your understanding. But the rest of us have and will do so as we continue to grow in Christ and yes, modify or even change our views as God reveals faults there in.

"Systematic theology is the attempt to formulate a coherent philosophy which is applicable to the component parts of a given faith's system of belief. Inherent to a system of theological thought is that a method is developed, one which can be applied both broadly and particularly"

Last year I went back to take a few courses to finish a degree from years past. One of the courses was an English term paper course. I was shocked how the research methods and documentation had changed over 40 years with the internet. Anyway, the point is, we were not allowed to use Wikipedia as a source for the papers we wrote.Aaron said:Wikipedia has it wrong.

I figured since this thread was about Premill, I would give J. MacArthur's thoughts.
