Why Didn't God Give Scriptures To The Nations During The First 4 Millennium Of Human History

More than 2500 years of Human history passed before God gave Israel the written law and began to write prophecy of the world through the nation that he himself raised up for 4 major reasons that I will name later.

Why did God send the "gospel of God" to the nations, which is the grace of God that bring salvation through Jesus Christ and his death, burial, and resurrection?

Ro 1:1 ¶ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

Ro 16:25 ¶ Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. «[Written to the Romans from Corinthus, and sent] by Phebe servant of the church at Cenchrea.»

The operative principle of God, which is grace, is possible because Jesus Christ with a one time payment for the sins of the whole world, thus propitiating God on our behalf and reconciling condemned men who were all guilty of crimes against God as far as he is concerned and then being raised from the dead, never to die again.

Reconciliation is a two way agreement and the church is charged to make this good news known to all men by voice. Whosoever will, let him come for this unspeakable gift.

2 Cor 5:16 ¶ Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more.
17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
6:1 ¶ We then, [as] workers together [with him], beseech [you] also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation)

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

The early part of Genesis, which is the history of what God DID DO during that time period, is a story of the offer of a RELATIONSHIP between God and men (talking face to face and built on trust).

The period of the LAW (starting with Moses) is the story of an offer of RULES to guide men to God (by exposing the hard heart of men).

The period of GRACE (starting with the incarnation) is the story of God demonstrating how we should live and how He will save us (having reject the original offer of RELATIONSHIP and been shown our great need by the LAW, we are ready to throw ourselves fully upon HIS GRACE.

Thanks for the input AT but this does not answer the question about why no Bibles to the nation for four thousand years.

The law of Moses was written to Israel only and was a source of enmity between them and the nations.

Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one (both Jew & gentile), and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Isn't it ironic that the law had to be removed as an operative principle of Divine dealing with the Jews before gentiles could be saved?

God elected one nation to typify the One Holy Nation, the church. Deut.7

6 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7 The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

8 But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

1 Pet 2:

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Actually, it did ...
The early part of Genesis, which is the history of what God DID DO during that time period, is a story of the offer of a RELATIONSHIP between God and men (talking face to face and built on trust).

... you simply rejected my answer (which is your right).

1. face to face verbal communication.
2. written rules for men to follow.
3. a living example to draw men to himself.

God revealed progressively stronger "medicine" to prove that nothing less than CHRIST nailed to a cross would work.

Q. "Why no bibles for 4000 years?"
A. "To offer man the chance to return to the fellowship of the Garden and demonstrate that God was willing but mankind was not."

Q. "Why did God give the Bible (OT) to mankind?"
A. "To prove that even with finite written instructions, we would not obey ... the LAW proves that we need something MORE."

Q. "Why did Christ have to die?"
A. "Because even God himself, incarnate and providing a LIVING EXAMPLE to demonstrate that it COULD be done was not enough to get people to return to God. Only the transformation made possible by the Holy Spirit and the Blood of Christ shed for our redemption would draw us home to God."
