I was listening to a recorded sermon last night and noticed
The preacher ended his words with type of grunt or hum.

We discussed the "hack" or the "uh-thing" at length. Some folks mocked it, called it an unspiritual manipulation, and stated that there was no scriptural backing for it. ....

It was quite distracting.Actually, I find it irritating - but maybe that's just me.

Personally, I grew up around it. I've heard it all my life. If I'm preaching and I really get over into the Spirit, I'll even do it myself. Doing the "uh" or not does not make you a better or worse preacher. Mocking it is certainly not the way to go either. Every man has to preach in the way God calls him to preach.
Brother Willis (convicted1) can also tell you stories about this kind of preaching. It's not for everybody, but those of us that like it are quite attached to it. Again, mocking it simply because you don't do it is rude. Please try to rise above that. Thanks, bud.
Don't forget to raise up slightly on your toes when you do the word "thingy". It gives it more emphasis as well as non-verbal communication.

I hear there is a cruise at 10k (paid for by the advertisers, I'm told) and at somewhere short of that if you've been a back slapper of the right ones you get invited into "a secret group" of Men (probably Masons).

Yes-----there is a cruise that awaits each poster that achieves his/her 10k post!!! But its not paid for by the advertisers----rather---its paid for by the administrators!!! (That comes as a shock, I know----but they're all filthy rich----and the only thing that keeps blackbird(ummmm!!! That be me!!!) from becoming an administrator is he can't seem to let go of his ability to remain a middle class bb moderator!!!
As far as the masons go----the lucky ones are the ones wearing funny looking hats shaped like lamp shades!!!!! Its all in the handshake!!!! Its all in the handshake!! You gotta look close----I mean-----Birddog close, or you'll never catch on and will always be left wondering-----how come some folks are eating prime rib with the ship's Captain-----and I'm down here in steerage----eating cold spam and left over WW2 K-rations???!!!!!
Thanks for the link PT, I'll go there and not labor this one out. I apologize for any offense you felt at my expense. As for the 1k post, I'm closing in on you. I'll probably hit the page tonight and spam several post to raise my count. I'm sure somebody did it a long time ago and was successful.
