This board can be pretty tough on Benny Hinn. Guess we better look out for that "Holy Ghost machine gun". [IMG]

I've always thought that 'men of God' would wear white because it represents purity or holiness, much like the Pope's white robe. Similar to the way the bride's white gown is supposed to represent purity.

Who cares what color it is??? I like the style. I remember when that was the "in" look. Nehru I think it was called. I still think it to be a classy look. Ya'll should dress so snappy, imo.

But the one thing that I noted about this thread is that no one who responded has yet to admonish any of us Baptist for knowing anything about Benny Hinn. I've seen threads here that denounce anyone who even admits to watching his program, much less questions what color of clothing he wears. Do you think the people of Joseph's day asked just what Joseph was doing wearing a coat of many colors??? You people are too much..... LOL!!!

    **Crickets**........

Everyone seems to have suddenly gone mute on that note, so I'll throw in one more little morsel to for you to ponder.

I sure am glad that my Heavenly Father looks on my heart and not on the clothing that I wear like some critical people do.

Lighten up, BillyMac. Don't want you to stroke out over Benny. In my opinion, most of us on this board acknowledge that he is a modern-day heretic of the worst kind.

I think it is a sad day when a man worships the dead and claims to derive his power from that source. The white suit and abundance of gold decking is so apprehensible to me because it is a statement of his belief in and worship of Kathryn Kuhlman.

BTW, what does Joseph's coat of many colors have to do with Benny's choice of costume??

No, it is not cultural for U.S. preachers to wear white suits.
Yes, that is how Benny Hinn likes to dress.
No, I don't suppose there is any reason he needs to wear white.

Shouldn't the questions be directed to what he teaches? Now that would be a profitable discussion.

Mocking a man, (any man) for the way he dresses is really grade school stuff, IMO.

C'mon Jim, I think you need to lighten up a little. Still, if we want to address what he teaches, does anyone think Benny will ever get his comb over healed?

Hey! I like to joke around a bit just like anybody else, but not like this.

It usually gets out of hand and is not becoming of saints of God. IMO.

I heard white reflects heat, so with all of those lights on him and with him pushing, err, I mean "healing" those people, he probably wants to stay cool.

White-sheeps wool? Perhaps that's the image he wants to project.
Makes no difference, inside is a ravening wolf.

Watching Benny Hinn is reminiscent of the television show "Fantasy Island." Ricardo Montalban, who played the part of Mr. Roarke, always wore a white suit.

O.k question for all those who have responded to this rather interesting thread [IMG]

How many here have seen the film "Leap of Faith" starring Steve Martin?

What you may not be aware of is that in order to study the role of a television evangalist, Steve Martin was required to attend a number of Benny Hinn's meetings to define the character role of "The Rev Jonas Nightingale". If you have the opportunity to view this film and you are familiar with the "style" of Benny Hinn, you will be quite surprised at how close to the mark Steve Martin gets.

Anyway back to that White Suit, there is a scene in Leap of Faith where the Rev Jonas is putting on a "Chrome" suit jacket, he turns to his partner and says "always look better than they do". I wonder if that has some bearing in this case? [IMG]

Never trust a man in a Nehru suit... unless it's 1967... but even then-- BEWARE!!!!
