"What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up." 1 Cor. 14:26 (NIV)

"And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;…" Eph. 5:18-20 (NIV)

~Please do not derail this thread~

I am serious. I do not know, nor pretend to know, why the founders of this board launched it into cyber space; however, I suspect one of the reasons behind their project was to develop a place where ALL Baptists could come together and glean from one another as well as share their difference in such a way to build one another up, in Jesus! It is not who is more right, or more in tune with God. And it should never be that! :tear:

If this is one of the reasons this board exists, then why are there a number of folks trying to tear down the fellowship many come here to find and enjoy? Why are a number of members here only to divide and cause heartache to others? Or chase them off with insults and demeaning comments?

I would like to believe that the Baptist Board is supposed to be practicing what Paul speaks of in the above two verses. I would love to think that we would do our best to pray for each other and pray that God helps us to accept one another, regardless of our doctrinal differences!

So, why is this board not working to lift up Jesus in order to lift up one another in Jesus to make each other a better believer rather than a bitter and defeated believer?

Granted, if you want to find blame, even in me, you can surely do that (as we have witnessed recently). But, haven't we all tired of the division and unkind words? I know I am. I am tired of retaliating because I was being piled on by a group of others out to mock me and get a laugh at my expense!!! I am sure there are others that feel like me!

So, isn't it time that we lay down the flesh and pride and turn to loving one another and working to help each other reach higher ground through our own discoveries regarding the Lord and His word to us? I think it is time to get this board back to the basics of its founders, and that may mean change in how we talk, and react to one another, but in the end, that will all be for the good of one another and even more importantly for the building of the Kingdom and our witness to visitors who stop by! :wavey:

Shalom!

No offense intended, but it seems to me that these types of threads do not help.

Rather than creating these threads, you would be much better served simply living out the behavior you talk about. You seem to think it is your job to preach and dictate to this board on how everyone should interact with each other.

Start worrying about righteousdude2, and righteousdude2 only. If you get yourself and your own attitude to line up with what you try preaching to everyone else, then you don't need to worry about how other people act. Start acting and not reacting.

Where was all this sincerity in my threads about bullies and rude members? I guess hypocrisy is one more form of flesh and spiritual warfare we must fight (even if it's one another that we fight with?).

You did your very best to help derail my threads! Like I said, hypocrites come in many forms, and this OP are just another form of hypocrisy.

Your words are noted. Thanks for laying everything on my doorstep; exactly what I expected from you ! And for your information, I am concerned about my walk. But it is not wrong to also care about the spiritual health of the body. Like the saying goes: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

As for the things you continue to insist are my problems, I have the faith to know that His grace is greater than what you claim my sins to be. Shalom!
