As bad and as odd as it sounds there are women who have been raped only to marry their rapist. .

I don't know what your sources are, but if this is true, this does not mean the woman enjoyed being raped! Rape is by its very essense a violation and an assault. I think this statement of yours is very troublesome as it could be taken the wrong way.

People who have not been abused do not understand the shame and fear one feels. If this boy was violated right off, and possibly told that his family would be killed if he talked, he may have 1) felt at fault for the abuse and afraid to tell anyone about that, even ashamed to go home; and 2) afraid his family would be killed. This belief at age 11 when he was taken would have only grown stronger as time went by because the initial act would have warped his thinking.

Although we don't know the facts, I think we need to give the victim the benefit of the doubt. He clearly was a victim.

Where is the outrage over the man who took 2 boys and possibly more (they are investigating 3 other kids who went missing in the same area)?

I don't have cable and have only seen snatches of O'Reilly but I could never understand why people liked him so much. I find his statements very disturbing and even sickening.

I think you need to pray about your last post................
Thanks for your "concern". I did b4 posting.
It angers me when folks assume something about someone they know nothing about.
Nothing wrong with expressing anger by the way.

I am not saying the kid deserved it, all I am saying is the kid did nothing to help himself.

==You don't know that to be true. We have found out today that he did call the police back in 2003 to report his bike being stolen. Could it be that he was trying get attention? Was he hoping and praying that someone would realize who he was? That is what it sounds like to me. After all he said in his interview with Oprah that he prayed his parents would find him or someone would recognize him. I think he was too scared to reach out directly so I think he reached out in non-direct ways and nobody was paying attention.

Btw, I disagree with your assertion that this kid was allowed to have it "his own way". I think the evidence showed, as him himself stated to Oprah, he was given "some" freedoms. He was not allowed to do what he wanted. And if he was allowed out it was only because this monster knew he had him under his control.

Since this thread is about to close I will not say more...

I was never a fan of Bill O'Reilly. I watched his show a few times. He once called one of his guests a "pinhead" for disagreeing with him. I haven't watched him since. I'm under the impression that he's just another loud mouth like Rush Limbaugh. Contrary to what he said, I seriously doubt that kid enjoyed being kidnapped.
