You don't have to go that far. Look at our own Baptist Board at http://www.baptistboard.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=000514 and note that 8 people labeled the KJV as "cannot be trusted by a Bible student."</font>[/QUOTE]And that really is a shame, DocCas. I wonder myself sometimes why people would do that? I've used it and found it to be reliable. If I didn't have my NIV or NASB, I would use the KJV in a heartbeat.

I agree. I love the KJV.

In reference to people on Christian forums disparaging the KJV..I remember seeing some posts on another christian board that attacked the KJV. One guy said it was the "worst translation ever". However, that same fella defends homosexuality as "biblicaly ok" so his discernment is on the same level as a tree frog.

These are great answers, folks. I hope this thread keeps up, and more respond.

Thanx, from a KJVO, but not a militant one. [IMG]

Well, I still haven't seen any "hateful statements" against the KJV. Arguments against the KJV in favor of better versions are not "hateful", nor is believing the KJV contains errors.

And no, I will not be searching through the fundamentalistforums, that place makes me sad.

If Mr. Curtis clutches things to his heart just because others make "hateful statements" about them, he must *really* love the NIV. ;) [IMG]
