Other things not in the Bible:

    Trinity
    Rapture
    Communion
    Altar calls
    The term OSAS

I guess those things are not true.

    !

Great exchange Allen and Jarthur. Two perspectives on the same scripture. Who is right? The debate continues. I appreciate the spirit delivered by both of you. I haven't voted but believe one reason is the return to biblical truth. Although I still have a problem with calvinism I attend a full blown calvinist church. Most know it is and agree. First time I have found one like that. The pastor teaches Christ. Anyone who is drawn is drawn because of Christ being lifted up, not fire insurance but because they have a desire to choose Christ instead of this world. If you grow tired of King Jesus being lifted up then you will not be happy there. I have been going for over 6 months and I leave overflowing with joy and peace everytime. The unity there is incrediable! The worship is awe inspiring and completely Christ centered. This church does not spend 20 or 30 minutes of announcements or jokes, stories of what the pastor or ass. pastor did last week. From the moment you come in till the pastor bows his head for prayer at the end is all pointed to Christ. No distractions hardly at all. Just Christ.
I cannot accept that calvinist find it so peaceful or awesome that they are chosen and others are not. I am not trying to make myself a saint but I love people and want them all to know Christ(I believe this is Christ's work in me). The fact is if God only reveals Himself to some and blinds the rest then He did not die for the world. And He has condemn them to hell with no mercy or love. I pray daily that if I am being prideful or disrespectful to God in this manner that He would show me.

I know both of you can't be right but both could be wrong!

"we both could be wrong"...Ain't that the Truth!
    Or
We could both be partially right.

Good to see you back Tim.

May God lead into all truth for His glory.

I assume you mean the exact words are not in the Bible. If there is no Biblical support for a belief it is not true.
