Suggest that people go the large denominational websites to see what they really believe.
On the other hand, the fringe pentecostal churches are usually the most vocal about their differences from other churches. And people tend to broadbrush the fringe church beliefs and practices to include all pentecostal churches based on these fringe groups.
Could that broadbrush entails having this shared common denomenator of shifting the focus of the spotlight away from the Son towards the Holy Spirit in the worship place?
Isn't the sensational experience of the "presence" of the "Holy Spirit" coming into the worship place or falling on the believers is what believers have been warned about to not believe every spirit in 1 John 4:1-6 because the real Holy Spirit indwells in us and abides in us for ever ( John 14:16-17 ) as opposed to the spirit of the antichrist which is in the world?
Isn't the methodology of seeking a continual filling of the Spirit the same methodology of seeking another baptism of the Holy Spirit that comes with evidence of tongues and that is to receive another Jesus, another spirit, or in this case, some more of the Holy Spirit? 2 Corinthians 11:1-4
If anybody wonders why Charismatic and "some" Pentecostals do not discern by the scriptures: then maybe it is because the opposing discerning churches are doing the same thing, but just not experiencing the same results as they are.
I submit these observations to those discerning fundamentalist to lean on Jesus Christ to see if something more needs to be pruned for our faith to be seen as standing apart from the ruidments of the world that are not of Him.
