Why is this Covid vaccine stressing me out?

If you truly heard it from God/Holy Spirit, you would have Scripture that backs it up. You have yet to provide any...

Of course I didn’t hear it from God. What’s the matter with you? I know you don’t think God actually speaks to anyone today. I hope. I thought I was on a Baptist thread and was free from the error of the Pentecostal which should have been seen as a joke.

What on earth are you talking about?

Not only has the evil one covered the glory of humankind with a mask, he also has been destroying the man’s image through the most effective means since electricity was discovered.

In our world the male is reduced to a fool and the female is somehow the heroine.

The evil one for the first time has a counterfeit omnipresence and a counterfeit omniscience. The ability for the current computer AI to double its capacity is once every 10 hours. What does that mean? It means that no, CV19 is not going to decimate the planet. And yes, the election in the western power of Daniel’s Fourth Beast as seen in the Two Legged Division Stage of Nebuchadnezzar’s Colossal Man, America, was stolen.

Now big brother Tony is saying that even if you get the “vaccination,” you still have to social distance, wear a mask at all times, and wash your hands constantly.

Why bother? (#ToHellWithCovid)

Wow guys, a lot of ideas coming out, from science to biblical views. Nice!

Anyway, while researching I bumped into a site (Doing What Matters in Times of Stress) and I was able to download "Doing What Matters in Times of Stress: An Illustrated Guide". It has a lot of tools and insights. And its presentation is good too. I find it helpful and a good read so I thought I'll share it too.

---still reading every post :D

I am hesitant too about this Covid vaccine - would it really be effective and safe? What is its margin of error? @Hannahande I am feeling the same.

A friend of mine suggested a drug that a some people are taking that is quite effective and much safer - have you heard of Ivermectin? I am planning to take it instead of the vaccine.

I haven't heard of that - what's with ivermectin?

It is a anti parasitic drug that is also anti viral. I have read an article that It cures and prevents Covid virus. And the good thing is - there is no major adverse effects when taken in.

I will look into that. It is interesting. Kindly share links where I can read about that. If this may treat Covid19 then no need to worry not to take the vaccine. Thank you @graciecat for sharing.

Don't worry too much, 5 of my relatives already got vaccinated and they are all fine. No side effects at all. are you scheduled to get vaccinated too?

I would have to have access to medical care in general to be scheduled to be vaccinated. Never mind what I think about this vaccine in general, for many people in America, there isn't a choice to be made. There is no infrastructure in place to offer the vaccine to the people that have been left behind. The entire healthcare system will need to be revamped if widespread vaccination is the goal.

It has served me well to be left behind in other circumstances. I expect it to be the same with this "treatment". God loves the poor. It might be meant for our harm to be excluded, but the medical system is such a mess, that we benefit as often as we are harmed by being left out.

So along with skipping colonoscopies and other nasty things, I just get to be happy until my body malfunctions so badly that I spend a few hours in the ER before they toss me out again. I just watch all this from the sidelines, like so many other things.

I'll be first in line when it comes to our area,
I expect to see it in a month or so for non-hospital medical workers.
The hospital where my daughter works in northern Maine will be getting it very soon.
There may be side effects but I'd like to get be free of this isolation.
Let me be the guinea pig.

My suggestion: make a list of the positives and negatives relating to vaccination.
Stay away from major news sources and look for reputable medical sites for information regarding the vaccine.

I could have got it last week. Don't want it. My Dr didn't take it. None of his nurses did. My friend took it and got sick as a dog been out of work a week so far.

We give Ivermectin to cows and dogs.
We Haven’t decided to take it yet.
Some at church are taking it as a preventative others are waiting till they have symptoms.

I know three people who died from COVID-19 in the last seven days. The pandemic is quite severe here in Texas because people refused to wear masks. Now that the election is over and the pandemic didn’t go away, even Trump supporters realized they have been misled.

I had the first shot of the Pfizer vaccine this morning. I’ll get the next one in about three weeks. I’ll still need to wear a mask in case I am exposed, asymptomatic, and shedding virus. Of course, wearing a mask has always been to keep others safe.

The reason social distancing and mask wearing, etc are still needed after the vaccine is because the thing measured in vaccine trials is disease symptoms not disease transmission which is much harder to measure.

The 95% or 80% or whatever effectiveness numbers you see are effectiveness of the vaccine to prevent disease symptoms.

As we all should know by now, you can still transmit covid19 without any symptoms which is why those measures still are needed to protect those around us.

So vaccine to protect yourself. Distancing and mask wearing to protect everyone else.
