Why Obamacare Doesn't Work As Promised

Praeger University posted a video three days ago about why socialized medicine fails.

1. The decision about medical care is taken away from the patient and given to a faceless government bureaucrat. If you are having a dispute with your insurance company, think about the impossibility of even getting through to someone in Washington DC about your cancer treatment.

2. It would cost 32.6 trillion dollars over ten years in addition to what is already being spent by the federal government. Doubling everyone's taxes still would not raise enough money to pay for socialized medicine.

3. America is the major country in the world doing advanced medical research. Socialized medicine would stop all of that. There would be very few if any new cures or treatments in the morass of government employees and red-ink spending and underpaid medical staff.

It was never about working as a healthcare option. It was always about control.

Exactly!! Just like the myth of "safety" through gun control!
Just consider how easy the left could control us (1984 maybe?) if no one, NO ONE had the ability to defend themselves?!
The O'care miscarriage was just one step in that direction; be very aware of the sales pitch from the left, cause anything they want means more control over you!!

So you are in favor of death if you can’t afford health insurance. I’ve gone broke paying for health insurance in this country and my wife continues to need operations and expensive treatment. So what’s my option?

Yes, but this is not likely to be grasped by anyone not in a position to think it through, or know enough history. The Soviets convinced their own medical personnel that their medicine far surpassed that of the rest of the world, thereby justifying putting their resources elsewhere. When the curtain came down and they were finally faced with reality, imagine the shock, especially of those whose loved ones would have benefited from the current advances.

I remember in the 1990s the Russians had a crusade to put hot water heaters in every Russian hospital. There were so many of them that did not have hot water. Socialism is always several steps backwards.

Clearly spoken by a Christian... maybe you should be put in the same position so you too could watch your loved one die.
The discussion is about Obamacare, its purpose and viability; not your misery. If a starving man shoplifts some bread, people will understand, but God won't wink at theft, and neither should the judges. You won't get me to soften on the subjugation of a free society because you're going through hard times and temporarily benefitting from the theft and oppression.

Life sucks sometimes, but before you start judging me, you have no idea what I have or have not been through, and what I have or have not done for others.

Yes, the other day someone shared a little riddle: “What did socialists use before candles?”
Answer: “Electricity.”
Bernie, “Beto” and AO-C should have us back there in no time.
Here is what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez promises:
No bans.
No walls.
No fences.
No chains.
No justice.
No peace.
Yeah, "fact checkers," I had to fix the last two for her--right words, wrong punctuation.

It was never meant to work as promised.

Dissatisfaction with it was , and still is, intended to be the lead in to a single payer program.
