Why would Paul tell Christians not to do sins they are incapable of doing?

Go back to my illustration. It was never talking about eternal destruction in the first place. Why are you now confusing the topic? A child of God doesn't lose his salvation. A child of a parent always remans that parent's child. He can't undo the genetics given to him by God. Once born again, a child of God will not be unborn. I was never talking about losing one's salvation, why are you?

I was responding to Shiloh's post about Job's children.

A Child of God will not lose his or her Salvation. So, how can a Child of God commit that which Paul writes will cause one to not inherit the Kingdom?

If a Child of God commits adultery, and is still assured that he or she is saved and going to be in that Kingdom, Paul must have been lying.

What are you talking about? I never slandered you or anyone else. What I said was
Is this not what you and others have been saying? I never accused you or anyone of doing anything.

    Here is what you said:
Now it seems to me that you are referring to those on the BB, as you say, "some here say..." and then go on to say..."they do commit those sins."
    No we don't.
We are capable, but no one has admitted to committing adultery or any other "vile" sin that you may be referring to you. To infer as much is slander. We may be capable of such sins, but no one has admitted to committing those sins, so why would you suggest it?

How can one commit a sin that has been removed as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12) and cast into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19)?

Some say....(you and others have said these things)
    a Christian...(a Christian in general)
do commit those sins....(the Christian in general commits them)

I'm sorry you misunderstood. I am not accusing you of committing "those sins". I am only repeating what you have said about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong. You and others have said that it is possible for Christians (in general, not you personally) to commit vile sins like murder or molestation. I don't believe a child of God can do those things.

It is sad, but the church down the road where I grew up taught this stuff. People just kept going up to the altar week after week to get saved again.

They were never assured of their salvation.
Preachers got saved again, Deacons, etc..
Every revival I could tell you who was going to get "born again, again, again, and again"

They were taught that if they committed sin, they were not saved, and had to be resaved.

No one is saying sin is good.
But what is disgusting is the ones that are justifying their sins by saying "Oh, I'm saved, and the sins I sin are just small ones."

In the eyes of God, which sin seperates you from Him?
Since God is perfect, he cannot be around any sin.
So Gossip will have the same effect as adultery.... it seperates you from God....UNLESS... you have the righteousness of Christ applied to your life. And in that case, watch out for the chastening hand of God!!!!
HE will take you out of this life (sin unto death) if you embarass Him enough. If you hurt the cause of Christ by refusing to yield to his Chastisement -- God will take you out!

One time my dad quit going to church. OUr pastor came to visit, and the first thing he asked dad was, 'where do you want to be buried"
God does not play games. And as the children of God, He has the right to discipline us, even if it means death... He is more concerned about your eternal life and His Glory than your earthly life.

I like to think that I am not capable to commit any sin.
but as soon as I say, "I cannot commit Adultery" Satan will take that as a challenge, and guess what he will do.... That's right... Temptation.

But God will make a way to avoid the temptation... But I still have to choose... WE are not robots.

Sure glad to see you are on the side of those who don't do those things even though you said you are capable and could even be in the very act of adultery when you die and still go to Heaven.

No, our church is much like the Eph. church with those who are saved and those who are not saved. I preach what God commissioned me to preach, "repent ye for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand". "if you die in your sins, where I am you cannot come."

I told you there were saved and unsaved there and as HBSMN said, preparing them to teach others. I see some lack of teaching here.

Can you tell me what purpose chastisement serves in the life of the believer if not to correct them from their sinful way?

You think they would admit it if they were guilty? Why should they, lying won't hurt them either.

We do not teach that and never have. You can't be "born again and again". You can't molest a 3 year old either.
