Wild, Wonderful

Hello all,

Yes, the title looks like Spam, but living in "Wild, Wonderful West Virginia" I couldn't resist. I live near a town called Huntington, where the "We Are Marshall" movie was produced at the University.

Now a little about me. I have a wife and three precious little girls. We homeschool and are active in the homeschooling community.

I enjoy theology, macro-economics, history, public speaking and leadership. In a little over 70 days I will finish up my third Masters degree (MA, MDIV, MBA) and will probably begin my Doctorate work sometime next year.

I am also a member of Toastmasters International where I am the President-Elect for a local club. I love Toastmasters and this has opened up many opportunities for me including being sponsored by a local business and hospital to do storytelling for children. I love it.

Doctrinally: for the most part I hold to the London Baptist Confession 1689. I have served with many theologians in Reformed Baptists circles.

Well, I am going to read some of the posts. I am glad to be here and look forward to interacting with you on this list.

Welcome from the Charleston area of WV! Shh. Don't tell Pocadots you like Marshall--he's a big WVU fan.

I'm a pastor's wife and homeschool mom to 2 girls.

Don't let our debates scare you away. There's a good bunch of folks here, and plenty from WV, too.

Glad to know others in WV are here. Glad to make your acquaintance. Are you a part of any homeschool groups? My wife is a tutor for Classical Conversations which meets in St. Albans.

BTW, I root for both WVU and Marshall. Yet, in Basketball it is UK first!

Kyredneck,

YUCK!

Are you SURE you're from WV? I thought everybody up there ate them. :)

(personally I love them eaten as scallions when they're young and tender; I presume you're not a big onion eater?)

I am not originally from West Virginia.... so your thoughts may be true that all those in WV love them. I, as well, am not an onion fan.
