Baptists don't need to fall to emergent church values. We've already falling to justifying sin and thus not repenting because there is a "consensus".[IMG]

And based upon the OP's previous comments in another thread, if the consensus wanted to accept those emergent values, then everybody else should just fall in line and go along with it and not say anything.

But as usual, it's much easier to point the finger at what other churches are doing while ignoring and justifying what we and our churches are doing.

If the mindset of this board is any indication, we need to just be quiet about emergent church values and focus on why the values evidenced in our churches don't mesh with Scripture.

:wavey:I have been a part of two traditional churches heading down the seeker friendly and emergent road. In both what I believe is the most devious tool to get their method to work is to change the accountability or management of the church body. Both are SBC churches where the congregation votes on everything but now both of these churches have been allowed to have a leadership team hand picked by the Pastor to make critical decisions. Before you know it changes happen without the body knowing what is happening or they are made aware and told to like it because the leadership team has made the decision. Any time someone objects even in a biz meeting the reply from leadership is always "this is what needs to happen if we want to see growth in the church, surely you are not against that!"
