I hoping Uncle Joe gets into the race for the pure entertainment factor. A gaff a day keeps the doctor away.

No, Biden won't run. No, he won't beat out Clinton. No, I wouldn't vote for him. No, I wouldn't rule out voting for a Democrat (but it's extremely unlikely).

If Biden ran and Bernie did not make it past the primaries, I would definitely consider voting for him. He has a lot of decent ideas concerning GDP growth, social policy and other snippets. However, if Bernie does make it, Hilary looses and Biden becomes the opponent of Sanders, I am going to maintain my support for Bernie Sanders. Primarily because he is the only who is trying to hold Wall-Street accountable for their atrocities, he is not accepting huge campaign donations from Super PACS or corporations. He is not knocking down Republicans or Democrats via Ad-Hominem remarks and slander. He is countering his opponents by focusing SOLELY on the issues. He is not wasting his breath bringing down other candidates to a middle school cage fight level. He is doing what needs to be done, which is bridge the left and the right together, to ensure economic stability can come back to this country; since it has been long over due (remember FDR anyone?).
I think that Biden will run and will have Obama's public endorsement. If Biden does not run, Sanders will win the Democrat primaries. Hillary is tied up with legal problems and is unpopular and a poor campaigner.
Still waiting to see what Biden decides. I don't know, I go back and forth on this. I think the WH wants him to throw his name in but Biden is hesitating. He probably is still dealing with the loss of Beau and maybe doesn't think he has the energy to sustain a long campaign. The longer he thinks about this, the more I doubt he jumps in. Mario, Gore, Kerry, Palin, Warren, and so on - all of them - ultimately said no after thinking about a run for years.
Another thing that has not been mentioned is the health of the Clintons. Some say that Hillary has had a stroke and Bill said that it took her six months to get well after she was sent to a New York hospital. Also, Bill reportedly said that he has had permanent heart damage--to me, Hillary's election would require Bill's running the White House behind the scenes in a third term for him.
Very nicely done, CMG. You turned a thread about Biden possibly running into a post about Bill Clinton getting a third term. You're not obsessed with the Clintons whatsoever!
Bernie is a Socialist. Socialists don't understand economics. If they did understand economics they wouldn't be Socialists.
You seemed to be quite obsessed with my commenting on the Clintons. I hope that you find a more interesting pastime than bothering the elderly.
It has been a longtime since we had a bi-partisan foreign policy or a commonsense domestic policy. The Democrat Party has moved left and is no longer frightened by the word "socialist." Nor can the Democrats define socialism as government control of the economy but to them it now just means a big welfares state. The problem for the Democrats is that Sanders might win the primaries, which start the first of February and a large part of which will end by the ides of March. Some say Sanders will win Iowa and New Hampshire, for example. Biden might take the nomination, especially if he has a public endorsement from Obama and if he reminds his party that he is a sitting Vice-President.
He probably will, and I hope he does. Then I can cast a vote against him, lol.
