Begining to see those greedy politicians in their true form huh? Bout time.

Interesting, I point out the greedy underhanded tactics of politicians in government and you accuse me of accusing America. One word. Lame.

The Taliban were wined and dined in Texas, Dragoon68.

Oklahoma City/Iraq connection has been covered up.

TWA 800 was covered up.

I still believe there was a shooter on the grassy knoll.

They killed William Cooper.

Several words: Some folks consistently accuse our government and, thereby, American policy as being completely wrong in basis, intent, purpose, and action. Yes, I do think that's very "lame" as well as completely unfounded, untrue, and unjust.

9/11 was an inside job.

Saddam knew too much.

Osma is safe in Crawford.

Etc.

Osama bin Laden is no more a true representative of Islam than General Mladic, who commanded the Serbian forces, could be held up as an example of Christianity. After all, it is written in the Qur'an that we were made into different peoples not that we might despise each other, but that we might understand each other.

Bin Laden was, though, a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies. Throughout the 80s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians. Inexplicably, and with disastrous consequences, it never appears to have occurred to Washington that once Russia was out of the way, Bin Laden's organisation would turn its attention to the west.

this is spot on as well this is where radical
Islam recruits their automatons.

In particular, it would be perverse if the focus of the G8 on making poverty history was now obscured by yesterday's bombings. The breeding grounds of terrorism are to be found in the poverty of back streets, where fundamentalism offers a false, easy sense of pride and identity to young men who feel denied of any hope or any economic opportunity for themselves. A war on world poverty may well do more for the security of the west than a war on terror.

Poncho I guess the enemy of my enemy is my friend

We got involved when we were attacked. Just like 9/11. Before that we were helping Great Britain with supplies. In 1939 there was a second attempt by British appeasers to unseat WSC who was one on the only ones in England who had the ***** to stand up to Hitler. What reason would the U.S. have to enter the war in 1939? </font>[/QUOTE]Britain had a treaty with Poland--we didn't. Even at that, Poland was invaded by both Germany and Russia and was defeated in about a month. It was too fast for anyone to mobilize help in those days. In those days, the USA had a hollow army--you know, the kind of army that liberals like FDR like--and would not have been of much use. However, our industrial might poured into Europe shortly thereafter as Wendell Wilkie defeated the isolationism with the GOP ranks and aided FDR with the gift of a national political consensus. During this current war, you have not seen the Democrats defeat isolationism within the liberal ranks and rally their party to the war effort. Instead you have seen high-ranking Democrats like Durbin call our troops nazis to even the disgust of a machine Democrat like Mayor Daley of Chicago, son of the heavy-handed previous Mayor Daley. The Democrats cannot unite behind the country even after all this time, a lack of unification that was missing in World War II. As for the Constitution Party, they have called this war illegal and called for withdrawal, capitulation, compromise, and defeat of the USA.

In Britain, proposed "hate crimes" laws have sought to forbid even the few clergy still preaching anything worth listening to from saying homosexuality is a sin. No such laws have been proposed to stop radical Islamic Imams from preaching hatred of Jews, Christians and Western values. Leftist lawyers eagerly defend the radicals. They are more concerned about the treatment of killers at Guantanamo Bay and the "atrocities" performed on Abu Ghraib prisoners, who would kill us if they had the chance, than the seething masses eager to strap a bomb to their bodies and end their worthless lives while killing "infidels."

In case you are too busy to read the article here is another interesting excerpt:

A Sunday Times survey taken just after 9/11 found that four of 10 British Muslims (there are as many as 2 million of them) believe Osama Bin Laden is justified in his war against America. A similar number said Britons who choose to fight with the Taliban are right to do so. Another 2001 opinion poll for the Asian radio station Sunrise found 98 percent of London Muslims under 45 saying they would not fight for Britain, and 48 percent saying they would take up arms for Bin Laden.

Peaceful Muslims my foot!
