Will the MAGA base stick with Trump if he sends ground troops to Iran and the war drags on for many months??

People have imagined the “MAGA base” abandoning DT since 2015. They never do despite the non stop slander from traditional media.

To be clear, if DT abandons the MAGA base, he will lose them. The MAGA base is founded on clear ideas which DT shares (or at least recognizes and articulates)

They will support any politician that shares their ideas, not just DT.

I suspect most would welcome getting rid of the threat from Iran, even if it meant ground troops, as long as there was a clear plan for victory and we seized the oil fields to pay for it all.

Trump has already offered to rebuild the country afterwards. The sound of confiscating oil will surely irritate some, but that doesn’t explain why we have offered to help rebuild.

I agree, the common sense approach to common sense folks creates loyalty, especially after it's proven time after time as with Trump and the MAGA folks.

Any time they disagree with him.
When he recommended the vaccine he received a widely negative response. There is enough MAGA base that is not in favor of vaccines that you could hear a reaction.

Cross a line and your base will drop you.
Drag others across the line and your base will drop you entirely and not just on certain issues.

That same reaction is sometimes seen from his supporters in Congress.

There are some that trust him and will follow him in whatever he does.
