Is the Mexican Border going to be the Western version of Israel and Gaza/Palestine???

Only time will tell....but, if the media is telling the truth, than we could have an awful lot of terrorists coming over the border, and possibly bringing WMD's with them.

So how do my fellow forum brothers see the border war, and what it is shaping up to be???

It is not just the terrorists we have to worry about. La Raza considers that the Southwest belongs to Mexico. The way Mexicans are flooding this country, legally or illegally, and having more children than the rest of the populace [except Mohammedans] they will soon exert their power.

Living in Texas, I am very concerned about our nation's border security. The fact that this political hot potato is dodged by just about every politician, Republican and Democrat, is mind boggling.

I'm afraid we are in the pre 9/11 mentality of "nothing bad can really happen to us". I really hope we do not have to endure a devastating hit from our enemies to wake us from this slumber.

The Israeli/Palestianian "fuss" is over territory--------they do not know it but they are living out Bible truth that teaches that since Isaac & Ishmael---that Ishmael's descendants will always wave a boney fist in the face of Isaac's descendants

The US/Mexican "fuss" is all about drugs-----nothing to do with "Julio" shaking his fist in John's face as Bible truth is lived out

Regardless of the reason, the incursion of non-citizens threatening U.S. residents and even law enforcement personal should not be tolerated, period.

No, while I agree that we have problems with our borders. I don't however see this situation having anything in common with the situation between Israel and Palestine. Not even close.

MP, what makes concerns for the safety of our country racist? Is the war in Afghanistan racist? What about the war against Japan--I have seen where many of your liberal brothers have called that war racist. I suppose, in order to not be called racist, we should just run up the white flag when any country peopled by non-whites decide to cross our borders with bad intentions. Would that make you happy then?

Probably not, since the flag of surrender is white and it seems that color in itself denotes racism. :BangHead:

No, go back and reread. I said the OP was race baiting and xenophobic. AND it had nothing to do with you until you threw yourself into it, so since you took offense, I told you if the shoe fits...in other words, if it applies to you, then feel free to take offense. If not, move along.

National security is an important issue. Borders should be monitored. Any nation has the right to control access. But it appears that often, racial prejudice and xenophobic fear are covered under a blanket of "seal the border". My former congressman, the disgraceful Tom Tancredo, made this his cause celebre.
