Thanks, LE, I was looking for that one. I had recalled reading about that. I don't understand how someone can think every person in our military is honorable and rush to justify war crimes. An American uniform doesn't make one honorable. Was Lt. Wm. Calley honorable? Was Gen. Benedict Arnold?

 

To that list, you can also add US veterans Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and Lee Harvey Oswald.

 

Sounds like you want the draft to come back so that everyone could be truly equal . . .

Wouldn't offend very many veterans. It is time for the rich & the ungrateful to serve their country and see what it is like.

You would find out that the service is much better represented than you were misled to believe.

 

I consider a draft to be involuntary servitude.

Sounds like, once again, you have no idea what you are talking about. I never said a thing about supporting the draft. Where did you pull that from?

It found that soldiers from wealthier families were "not well-represented among the backgrounds of new recruits." Neither are poor households well-represented, largely because of the military's education and skill requirements."
