Were you referring to this:

Open letter to Winn Dixie corp:

I see some national meddling tax-exempt organizations are ganging up on the Winn Dixie at Pinellas Park. Remember, you have only to cater to your local customers.

You aught to come to Norman, OK some time, we like our food stores!

(tee hee, Winn Dixie at Pinellas Park, had about 150 cars illegally parked in their towed at a cost to the protestors of about $160 each. The protesters were at the site where poor Terri Schiavo died yesterday.

</font>[/QUOTE]Yep and 'aught' is misspelled by that poster. The correct spelling is 'ought'.

aught = Anything whatever: “Neither of his parents had aught but praise for him” (Louis Auchincloss).

Archaic. In any respect; at all.

I will tell you what. Quit taking pot shots at conservatives on a liberal discussion board, and I will quit quoting you. But as long as you continue to make fun of conservatives, I will continue to post it for all to see the truth of what you really think about them and give them the chance to respond to your ridicule. If you are ashamed of your words, then don't post them in a public forum. And if you do post them, and then later regret doing so, then apologize to those whom you offend.

Hmm, it's hard to respect tattle-tales.

Why shouldn't Aslanspal take "potshots" at consertatives wherever he wants? If he were putting down Baptists, then you might, maybe, have a legitimate greivance here at this board, but he has the right to discuss his political views at other boards without your foolishly dragging his arguments there here.

(Btw, is this the same forum where you bragged about getting banned for harrassing LadyEagle?)

I don't remember. If I did, please post the quote and I will publicly apologize. If he wants to ridicule conservatives, perhaps he ought to do it here where the conservatives are so they know exactly what he thinks of them and they can respond. BTW, I really could care less what a liberal thinks of me or whether or not you respect me.

Quote anything you want that I have written anywhere in public on the internet. If I am ashamed of what I wrote, I will apologize. If I think you have misrepresented me, I will set the record straight. Doesn't bother me.

Daisy,

I just went through all my posts at Thinking Baptists and apparently not. I couldn't find what you are alluding to so I guess I didn't make those statements.

Honestly can't remember. As far as I know, none of my posts have been deleted. If you have something to quote, then go ahead and do it, and I will respond appropriately.

I disagree with the action being proposed.

Calling Winn Dixie will do nothing. They are not the owners of the property, they did not call to have them towed. There really is not a whole lot they can do.

Calling the property owner will not accomplish anything. They are well within their rights to have them towed. Once they walked out of the Winn Dixie or other stores they were no longer customers of the property owners leasee's and therefore trespassing.

Calling the towing company will do nothing. They were doing what they were told to do.

Somewhere on this thread I read that there was a sign stating "no protest parking".
I also read where the protestors were directed to park there by police.

If these two "facts" are indeed correct, then a few conclusions can be made.

1. A person whose car was towed away ignored the sign by rationalizing that if the police told them to park there, then it was ok. Which would then lead one (myself) to wonder why the contradiction and ask the policeman why the warning about "no parking".
2. A person whose car was towed evidently thinks signs which say "no parking" don't REALLY mean "no parking".
3. A person whose car was towed might have thought "it won't happen to me".
4. A person whose car was towed blatanly ignored the warning and is now upset they got caught.
5. A person whose car was towed perhaps thought police directions to park in a "no parking" zone trumps the warning. Which again would lead a thinking person to ask, "why the contradiction?".

I have no sympathy for these people whose cars were towed based on these conclusions about the apparent "facts".

In HIS service;
Jim
