I was an engineer at BOSE Corp and I was NOT allowed to take personal notes on any product or manufacturing procedure.

Same thing when I was working on SDI projects in the 80's for a defense contractor. They had guards at the entrances that could search your personal belongings if they wanted to do so, though I never heard of it happening.

That happened once at Bell Labs-Holmdel. They prosecuted.

Yes, it's common practice when you become a corporate indentured servant.

It was a great job. I'm proud of having been a Bell Labs systems engineer (pre-divestiture). In my view it was the top of my chosen profession.

At the height of the program, 1985-1987, we had FBI agents come in about every six months and give briefings on security protocols and how to be on the look out for Soviet spies and their techniques. I was a single guy in my 20's and on the lookout for the 'honey trap". LOL.

We had the Israeli Fighter Jet Noise Cancelling Headset. Great technology, based on the same principles as the "Wall of Sound" concert system the Grateful Dead used in their classic mid-70s concerts.

Those Israelis know how to run a contract audit, let me tell you.

We need for them to help us find the $8.5 T the Pentagon can't account for.

Check the Clinton Fund.

I'm thinking about the Republican Neo-Cons. who had as a stated objective to invade and occupy Iraq before 9/11 but said that an "attack like Pearl Harbor" would be necessary to get the American people to support it.

REBUILDING AMERICA’S DEFENSES
Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century

A Report of the Project for the New American Century
September 2000

https://cryptome.org/rad.htm#INTRODUCTION

"Any serious effort at transformation must occur within the larger framework of U.S. national security strategy, military missions and defense budgets. The United States cannot simply declare a “strategic pause” while experimenting with new technologies and operational concepts. Nor can it choose to pursue a transformation strategy that would decouple American and allied interests. A transformation strategy that solely pursued capabilities for projecting force from the United States, for example, and sacrificed forward basing and presence, would be at odds with larger American policy goals and would trouble American allies.

Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor. Domestic politics and industrial policy will shape the pace and content of transformation as much as the requirements of current missions."
