I've noticed a lot of "I think", "I feel", "I believe", "In my opinion" on this discussion. Let's see what God has to say...
1 Tim 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Did God say that women can't talk or express their opinions? No. But they shouldn't push their thoughts or opinions on men or disagree with men openly.
And please keep this in mind before you start slaughtering me...
Gal 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Harvest.....I suggested on another thread this week that you post in the Mens Only Forum if you don't want to hear our opinions. I have noticed when we disagree with you, you consider us 'usurping authority' over you. You even told me to read II Tim. 2:12. This is a great forum and we all have the freedom to speak....neither male nor female is to be silent unless they are acting in an inapproriate way. The last thread you started was closed because it was insulting and not edifying to Christians. Please be more Christ-like in your attitude. Thanks!

I guess you know by now that Ed Edwards is my husband. I saw another Edwards on today..I have forgotten his first name.
Poor Jimmy, First you thought he was my husband, then someone thought he was my son....
I suggest that we ignore the above post. It is nearly invisible. I was referring to The Harvest, not IAM BLESSED.

So what you are saying then is that we can express our opinions except when we disagree with you . If we disagree with you on this forum; then I guess we are disagreeing with you openly and, in your mind, going against God?

Yet again you misunderstood me. I didn't say anything about myself specifically. As a matter of fact, I wasn't really saying anything. I quoted you what God said. You are mad at Him. If you were in a discussion with a calvinist and he said something wrong, you shouldn't correct him either, because of 1 Tim 2:12.

To begin with the verses that The Harvest is quoting in I Timothy:2 were given as instructions about prayer and the place of women in the church. And Timothy did not say God said, Timothy said, I said... I am sure I'm his elder also...

I am not mad at God. I am not even mad at you. I am disagreeing with you and I wish you would take the scriptures you quote in context. I am not in church right now. I am on an open Baptist Forum...

Brother Ed, nobody is trying to take away the authority you have over your wife or her right to share her faith in Jesus. But if you will review the very reason this discussion was started, I was merely responding to that by stating "It is written..."
The problem is that too many people on this discussion have been brainwashed by their TVs that they can't believe what God said. And when the Word of God is presented to them, they get offended.
