Women across the country are reporting a rise in 'aggressive eye contact' since the introduction of face coverings in some public places.

New laws introduced over the weekend force customers to wear face masks in all shops, stations, banks and post offices, while it is also mandatory to wear coverings on public transport.

But many women have been sharing stories online of 'aggressive eye contact' and 'hard staring' from men wearing masks, with one tweeting: 'Grown men staring at you with a mask on is worse than when they don't have a mask.'

"Men are looking at me now."

Wow, what a flimsy excuse for not wanting to wear a mask.

With masks, much is lost in facial communication, which is a two-way street. What if all these men they are complaining about are thinking these women are making eyes at them? What if they’re looking at the patterns on individualized masks? And whatever happened to “My eyes are up here?” Sometimes you just can’t win for losing.

The only focus point on the face IS the eye.

Could NOT stare and just ask them about plucking eyebrows? Mascara? Contact lenses?

They'd probably whine about that . . .

I'd been wondering when this would happen, and in what form. But I also wonder if the same thing can be true of men with full/fluffy beards that hide the mouth.

Is it just me? Or are there so many more attractive women out now due to the masks? [emoji23]

Kinda like the two old geezers sitting on a park bench watching all the young vivacious pretty young things wandering about!
Joe says to Mike, "Boy, they sure do make 'em different than when we were young."
Mike replies, "Nope, they the same; they're just packaged different today!"
