I joked about the issue, but in all honesty we should teach 1 Timothy 2:9. I many not always know what modest, respectable clothing looks like....but I do know what it doesn't look like when I see it.

We are sensitive to legalism, and rightly so. But it cannot be at the expense of discipleship.

So I vote no yoga pants in church...at least for the senior adults....Wink

I agree with Jon C. On the streets I wear pants and a t-shirt to blend in with the crowd. I do not wear a tie. Any female evangelist wanting to join would be expected to follow likewise. One can relate better with the people on the streets by blending in.

Whenever we visit these brethren we make sure not to offend (suit, shirt, tie for me, dress for my wife) except for my beard - one lady of long acquaintance will not even look at me.
