KJVO's have been avoiding this board for awhile now. Only Ralph seems to want to do a hit-n-run now and again. What happened while I was away? Other KJVO's seem to have quit.

Could it be that KJVO boards have warned about the BaptistBoard? This is the only forum I have stayed with since it pretty much demands a minimum of civility. KJVO arguments don't seem to fair real well when the rules promote at least some measure of reason and proof.

I've noticed this as well. I wonder if there is a connection... ;)

While I'm definately not KJVO, I have not been around much over the last few months because my computer at home refuses to allow me to get on the internet, so I just get to drop in every once in a while.

But I have noticed that there are not as many KJVOs around here anymore

You can only chase your tail so many times with the same ole' arguments, before you finally get dizzy and fall down and go BOOM! ;)

Not gonna find much "new material" in a 1611 version?

Think it's the MV'ers that have the "new material"!!

I have been under the impression that this forum was to dicuss versions and translations, not versionists and why they don't post here :( .

Wrong!!!!

I've been practicing Proverbs 26:5 long enough.
I think I will practice 26:4 for a while now.
</font>[/QUOTE]Forget that....I prefer this MV proverb ;)

BaptistBoardBible Translation 2005

Pro 26:7 Like a lame man's legs that hang limp
is a proverb in the mouth of an only.

I respectfully disagree with this view of the forum. While I appreciate the spirit that is epxressed here, I prefer the forum to be a place which is mutually edifying and informative, not one in which we take pride in our ability to apply the heat.

C4K has a point. The forum is about translations, not KJVO, although MV defenders may be allowed some slack (or not) in enjoying a respite from the accusations of heresy, bible perversion, etc. But it's not seemly.

In fact, I am reconsidering my position on the Majority Text right now ... (Not the mythical TR, though.)

My point was that if one is going to debate then they should be ready for some heat because there will most likely be others who disagree. Sometimes we need heat for us to take a look at what we believe. At times we get caught in our little world and think we are right until another comes along.

I have been to other countries and lived in many other states. It has taught me a lot about the way others think and maybe my ways are not always so right as I think they are.
