Would you work in a ministry that helped to physically save babies but was lead by Catholics?

Most Certainly, If you were drowning and a Catholic threw you a life preserver, would you throw it back. No brainer.

I have to say that the Catholic Church is the one church that has stood hard and firm on the rights of the unborn - WAY more than any other church. I'd be happy to work with the Catholics to help provide a way out for those women who find themselves expecting a child. This wouldn't be church. This would be a rescue mission and my feeling is "all hands on deck".
When I lived in SD it was the Protestant pastors who were like marshmallows when it came to take a stance. That was only just a few years ago. I have experienced the same thing among pastors when it came time to take a stance against profanity, etc in books in the local school. It seems that so many are like an empty bag--they just make a lot of noise.

I'm a follower of Christ before I'm a Southern Baptist. With that said, if called to work with Catholics, I have no problem with that.

I understand what Sola is asking. Knew a man a few years back that was of the opinion that, if invited, would refuse to preach in a church of another denomination "because it might give the appearance of endorsing that denomination."

Don't think we ever got it through to him that he was being given an invitation to preach the Gospel; when should we ever say no to getting to preach the truth?

I know of a Marine (retired) IFBer that was ostracized by his church for, among other things, preaching in a southern baptist church.

I say go for it, Sola. You're getting the opportunity to exchange views with some people who might need to hear the truth. And do a lot of good in regards to the unborn. I'll be praying for you.

Thanks and God bless you Don.

I have a question for everyone. There is a Pregnancy Crisis Center starting in our area. My wife was on staff at a different one in the past. It is a GREAT ministry, however it is a Parachurch ministry involving many different denominations. We just had our first meeting so I don't know how far it will go but my concern is that of the 40 people there about 35 were Catholic. Would you work in a ministry that helped to physically save babies but was lead by Catholics?

Yes.....you are fighting the forces of evil (wow, sound like Batman LOL) & anything you can do to save a life must be done....the enemy of my enemy is my friend (in war) & thats spiritual warfare. Also, by your example these theologically depraved Catholics might truly be led to the Lord. Think of it as double duty.

Absolutely, and I would challenge the Baptists to get off their butts and get involved. Remember the good Samaritan story? Very similar.

To my understand, we are 'allowed" to work with and be involved in social agenda concerns with others, such as conservative jews, Catholics etc, but NOT in areas when it compromised the doctrines of gopd and the Bible, such as who Jesus is, real Gospel message etc!

I can work with catholics, but would NOT allow a priest to teach from the pulpet! As that would give implied approval for RC theology!
