Would Marco Rubio be a good VP pick?

No, we need him down here in Florida. I would go with Bobby Jindal for his VP.

Look, We have (as Republicans) a majority, an easily held one, in the HOUSE! We have ground to make up in the SENATE!! DO NOT take a conservative Republican Senator (causing an easily losable special election in an off-year) especially when there is a perfectly outstanding House member by the name of PAUL RYAN....who is (as far as majorities are concerned) expendable in the House. And he is equally KEWL.
I am thrilled at the general man-crush involving Rubio, from which I also suffer......but the kid is like......ten or something, there is time for the whole VP thing in the future...he won't go anywhere, and he is equally as available in 2020. Don't surrender a Senator if you don't have to, we need a majority there too!!!
I would prefer Ryan to Jindal though.... mainly because of a few real or imagined electability matters... That and Ryan has already made a name for himself as a crusader for economical principles (Nationally anyway). Simply spoken, Rubio belongs to us, and not you, and you can't have him.....so there..

I agree with you, that we shouldn't surrender Rubio. He is doing well but give him some time to grow.
Jindal has caught my eye over the last 10 years or so.

My personal opinion is and has been for years: The convention should pick the nominee for vice president! Would add some excitement to the convention.
The Republican Party has a host of people who would make good presidents if necessary. A few, not in the order of my preference, are: Governors; Jindal of Louisiana, Daniels of Indiana, Christie of NJ, Walker of Wisconsin, McDonnell of Virginia, Kasich of Ohio; then of course Rep. Ryan, Sen. Rubio.

I gotta give Jindal a second look myself....although I lean towards Ryan, I used to be a big Jindal fan. I think I vaguely recall some major gaffe of sorts he made about 8 mos. or so ago....I have no details, I wish I could remember what it was....I might have merely heard some fallacious accusation from a libtard and somehow thought it had merit.

Of course, but as usual it's backed with plenty of evidence.
I can only think of a couple reasons why any man would support such a sick and twisted foreign policy of using extremist cutthroats and murderers to overthrow other governments.
Money or power. Or maybe just blind ignorance. I don't think he's ignorant. Evidently he's read "Which Path To Persia" and he's on board with the plan.
Imho, the seven or eight wars we're already involved in is enough.

Politically, Jindal is not a good choice. One, he is a governor and Romney needs someone with some DC/foreign policy experience - preferably a senator. Two, LA is already a red state. Three, he's not that great as a public speaker.
Marco is an excellent choice for several reasons. One, he will help swing FL and if Romney has any chance at all, he has to win FL. Two, he will help Romney with the evangelical Christian vote. Three, he will help Romney pick up some of the hispanic vote, which overwhelmingly went for Obama in 2008. Four, he will help with the tea party side of the Republican party - which still don't trust Romney. Five, he is a terrific public speaker. Six, he is a US senator. His down side is his lack of experience, only being elected to the senate in 2010.
