The parents argument is ridiculous. Cleavage is cleavage and you don't get to excuse it because of breast size. If you have more to cover up then where a dress with more material in all the right places.

I'm sorry but half her breast is hanging out and if she were to dance a little bit, her nipples would show.

Here's a plus sized actress - Melissa McCarthy - and look at how nicely she's dressed. Large breasts doesn't mean you need to hang them out for everyone to see.

The parents should apologize to the school.

Ann, I believe you're a nice lady, but that statement is baloney. Why in the world would you even be concerned about that? What if she were a size two and was less endowed and wore the same dress, and comparatively the same amount of flesh showed? You'd never notice. Since she's plus sized and it is more apparent the cat fight has ensued.

Sorry, but your illustration falls short of the endowment of the other subject. I saw nothing wrong with the other girls attire. Missy looks OK as well. I see no difference.

All this sounds like a cat fight to me.

If she's a lost sinner, let her do her job of sinning. Her being more modest to suit you or anyone else won't mean a thing this side of the Sun. All judging of this is hypocrisy and self-righteousness, both on the part of the school which is worldly and on the part of the believers who judge her. Christ would love her regardless and not lay upon her any demands. If she were born again perhaps the story wouldn't be online.

All of this reminds me of legalism, and none of us know a thing about her relationship to Christ. It all reeks of 'Hey, let us put our demands on you the lost'.

Christ never did such a thing.

I say this with my wife sitting here in unbelief of the demands some of you put on her, and she watched the story earlier.

smh.

I've already answered it and you're still hissing.

Not hissing at all. Just stating the obvious. Ask your wife - does this girl have cleavage showing? To help you, here's the definition for you:

"the depression between a woman's breasts especially when made visible by a low-cut neckline"

IOW, he doesn't want to admit that you are right!:BangHead:

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! She's not right.

And neither are you.

Now stop banging your cranium on that wall, it won't raise her dress an inch.

Go impose your legalism on someone else, neither of you know her state, whether lost or saved. That, and there was nothing wrong with her attire either way! :type:

Keep hissing, the both of ya! :applause:

I don't need your help, perhaps you need your own help? Maybe cattiness has led you to find a definition and quote it?

You're not paying attention. I mentioned she saw it. She saw it this morning, and I saw it tonight. Neither of us condemned her. Would Jesus do so, would he lash out at her as you are doing?

All she sees is a cat fight from you, and you imposing legalism upon a girl that none of us have a clue as to whether she is saved or not. Like I said, it matters not if she's in a state of lostness how high her dress comes. 'Yes, let's put a lost woman in an appropriate dress, there ya go, now we feel good about what you're wearing!' That's nothing but Pharisaism.

Yet neither of us see a problem even if she were saved and wore it.

A size 2 showing the same amount of flesh comparatively? You'd not notice a thing and there'd be no story on it online.

Nothing but hissing from you.

Does her cleavage show? You're not answering the question.

P4t won't answer. He only said the in this thread because it offered an opportunity for him to argue with someone.

You are correct, the rules said no cleavage and this girl deliberately broke these rules. Judging by her parents reaction, I imagine she just doesn't like to be told no.

I'm not addressing a spiritual issue here. We're talking a public school making a dress code and a girl going and ignoring the dress code.

If a size 2 girl was showing as much breast as this girl, I'm sure she would have been asked to cover up as well.

Basically we have:

Dress code from school
Girl disobeyed
Girl asked to cover up with a shawl

I agree with the school.

Bob,

If she broke rules I agree.

Otherwise I see nothing contextually in any argument offered about her breaking rules. IOW all arguments are based purely upon the subjective standards of the respondents.

All we have up to this point is legalism.

Now if we want to argue 'rules' that is another subject altogether.

Somehow you've not mentioned this until now. Up until now it was all based on what you thought, not upon the 'rules' of the school.

None of this was pertinent to our discussion, and now all of a sudden it is. Wonder why? You've not mentioned this until Bob popped in. :wavey:

See my post to Bob on this for my answer Ann.

I think the school should have specified only cleavage somewhat remotely attractive must be covered. Then she wouldn't have been forced to wear the shawl.

What was told to us were the facts. Then it was asked if the school should apologize. I said that her breasts were hanging out - clearly stating that she was showing cleavage - and thus agreeing with the school that she broke the rules. I guess I need to spell it out for you in the future?
