No, the owners should be heavily fined for loosing an invasive species into the environment.

I think the Florida Everglades is being overrun with pythons people bought as pets and released when they got too big. Many species of birds are being threatened, not to mention peoples dogs.

That would not be a call I would be responding to if my Department got toned out over my pager haha.

I don't mind snakes, I've picked up rat snakes and moved them away from my brooder many times. The biggest one I moved was 6ft.

But any animal that is going to put my life in danger is a no-no if I don't have training on it. I also wouldn't respond to feral hogs, trapped coyote, or young black bear male or black bear mother unless I was asked to simply shoot them.
