SIGH - Around and around we go.

Yes - and when no one is listening, you are not preaching.

No one but God knows who will and will not read my letters or read the tracts.

You have such a negative view of tracts. Why not go to the website I mentioned?

The Way of the Master is always in favor of evangelism but the speciality is evangelism with strangers.
How about trying the true way of the Maste Jesus though? You have a zeal to witness, just allow God to use yo in personal relationships, face to face with those who need Christ!

Be a godly friend to others, and when God uses yo to reach them, that will be far more meaninful than zillions of tracks mailed out, and much cheaper to yo!

Did, ad think the person fails t see tha we must rub shoulders wit lost people, and be the light to them, and to sho them love and bepart of thei lives, and that God will ue to impact them!

The difference between him and you Yeshua is that he uses scripture to make his point and you do not.

When you do - how long does the conversation normally last?

Depends on the area and the person. In DT Denver most are going to and fro and have little time to chat. But back in SC I was in a different area not as fast paced.

Jesus spoke to people in love, interacted with them on an extended basis, correct? He did not just say come back at church service!

He also confronted sin (Mt 23) and began his ministry by preaching repentance from sin. His preaching got him killed so he was obviously not as into friendship evangelism as you think.

He was into discipleship, spending 3 years with 12 men. Giving someone church information is not discipleship. Talking at people is not discipleship. And before you quote Mark 16:15 at me remember that Matthew, which is just as inspired and as important as Mark, tells us to make (not find, not discover, not wait until they come to us, but make an active verb) disciples. Discipleship requires a relationship that most people in this day and age would agree resembles friendship to some degree or another.
Before you give me the link I would ask who here do you think is arguing for "lifestyle" evangelism which the link puts under friendship evangelism. Everyone has been saying that your life should reflect the message of the Gospel which is true.
Phil. 1:27, 28
Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God.

He blasted only those like the Pharisees who really deluded themselves into thinking their acts and works mde them acceptableto God, but the "normal" sinner He acted s a Dr towards them! God so loved the World, not so judged the world, correct?
