Linux just so much nicer, as many Govt departments actually operate on Linux servers, not windows!I will answer, only, from my experience but some I helped with the issue of software they cannot afford to replace and they were unwilling to use the free Linux base software for the work are the largest group I have dual Booted.
Then there is a group that appears to me to be growing, that with the known but greatly denied Root Kit the NSA helped Microsoft install in Vista and forward that dislike the idea of being spied upon. They are coming over when they discover Linux is not so much different from windoze to use and runs so much faster but they fear the transition.
DoD uses linux....Thanks for the suggestion, if I install an OS for a Christian or a young person I'll try that method. Yes, I tell the people at the VA that they can order their computers with Linux everytime I meet a new one. And from a person that worked at NASA I learned that the systems used to operate the Spacecrafts and the Space Station are not windows nor are Mac because of vulnerability. That leaves some form of Unix and if it's good enough for NASA I can't a reason to mistrust it.
That is for the same reason, I'll bet.DoD uses linux....
yes, as they also demand Black Berry phones, and linux servers, as they need to have it more security proof than windows allows for! That is for the same reason, I'll bet.
