Interesting, exciting, and touching story shows we are not able to judge our own success or failure, and that it is God who gives the increase.
Missionary died thinking he was a failure; 84 years later thriving churches found hidden in the jungle
In 1912, medical missionary Dr. William Leslie went to live and minister to tribal people in a remote corner of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. After 17 years he returned to the U.S. a discouraged man – believing he failed to make an impact for Christ. He died nine years after his return.
Based on his previous research, Ramsey thought the Yansi in this remote area might have some exposure to the name of Jesus, but no real understanding of who He is. They were unprepared for their remarkable find.

“When we got in there, we found a network of reproducing churches throughout the jungle.

When I was at MABTS, there was a story of a womens SS class buying Hispanic Bibles and Lit for a jungle group in Central America Problem was that the group did not speak Spanish (this was the early 1940s I believe).

The Aviators laughed and just decided to kick the box of materials out of the plane into the jungle (unknowingly to a group who could read and speak Spanish) a few Years later, Missionaries went to evandelize them, but they would not allow them to preach to them, proclaiming that they served God.

The Missionaries pressed them and were told a giant bird had flown overhead and the materials had fallen out of the giant bird (airplane)

The village mayor had become the Pastor and almost the entire village had been converted. The Missionary said that it was amazing at how much they had right theologically.

Election/Providence of God!

God does work in a mysterious way his wonders to preform... I never worry that God WILL save ALL that he said he WILL because first he never lies and carries out all that he promises... And brethren if we can't depend on that, then tell me what we can depend on?... That being said I would like to recommend a book I read a while back that seems to fit in here... If you haven't read it, I highly recommend you do, in what ever format you want to use... Brother Glen:)

Read this book several years ago, & found it most interesting AND uplifting to learn a bit of how God works in situations where they were totally void of any knowledge of Him.

Also read one (don't remember the title) about how many Muslims are coming to Christ via dreams, & then a personal encounter giving the gospel culminating in salvation.

That is why I firmly believe that God can save anyone, anytime, anywhere, by any means, in any situation and doesn't need anyone to help him out... SALVATION IS OF THE LORD!... Brother Glen:)
