The current NLT , sometimes called the NLT2 is not a paraphrase , neither was NLT1 .

If you add NLT, you would have my Bible. See my post on page 1

Hmmm. I'm not sure I see the point of a paraphrase in a parallel Bible.

By the way, page references are meaningless in this new forum software, since everyone can choose how many posts appear per page.

I didn't know that about the page numbers... learned something new.

And technically, the NLT isn't a paraphrase, but a dynamic equvilance.
The Living Bible was a paraphrase, but not the New Living Translation.

I used to get them confused, or thought that the NLT was a updated LB, but it really is not.

I'd like to have one with the NET in it also.
I'd just like to have a NET in printed form.. I found one on the net for $99.95
Can I take up an offering here?
We are Baptists, and it would go for a worth cause!

NLTse
KJV2000
HCSB
ESV

This is basically what my cyber parallel is on e-sword, minus the NLTse.

Wow, it's really gone up! Since I have been buying NET Bibles from their very first edition, I was offered a special low price for the latest one. I think I paid about $39 for it, and it's leather. They had some cheaper than that in bonded leather (I think) but I don't know if they have those anymore.

Are you sure the only one you can get is $99? That's too bad. :tear: I would call them by phone and ask. I ordered all my NET bibles by calling them.

I'm bidding for one on ebay for $24.

What a wonderful tool this has been. Man, the rewards that will come from having this FREE software!

Yeah, its a real cool tool :) Linux users can use jsword with Java Webstart it's real easy but not as good as E-Sword. I wish Rick Meyers would port it to Linux or at least open the software up so some of us can have a go at it. After all I am sure he got a lot of ideas from Linux opensource software and Windows GNU.

I hope and pray his daughter stays on the straight and narrow.
