Vera's Macaroni and Cheese
8 oz. elbow macaroni
1-13 oz. can evaporated milk
2 eggs beaten
3/4 to 1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese grated
3/4 to 1 stick butter or margarine
dash salt
dash black pepper
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Cube cheese. Gently
combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix together
well. Pour into greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for
50-60 minutes. I also like to put slices of cheddar cheese on the top
before baking. After you have taken it out of the oven, let it set
for five minutes before serving.
