There was real fear that Kirkbridge was going to disappear, and have Thompson no longer made, but Zondervan purchased rights, and will have all versions coming back!

Is it truly good news though? Zondervan has a history of being very selective with the platforms they allow their content on and also jacking prices up.

True, but at least still can get Nas, Esv. and Nkjv, as for awhile just Kjv was an option!

I personally hope they offer the Thompson Chain Bible in "black letter" edition. With red-green color blindness, I find the red letter edition challenging to read.

Yet another publisher folds to the Rupert Murdoch monopoly. Being a pessimist, I am not expecting good results in the long run.

I heard this one before -- Zondervan will replace all of the language tools that were once published around the 1984 NIV--when they introduce the 2011 NIV.
It has been 9 years.
Still waiting.

I drove through Indianapolis one time and visited the Kirkbride Bible Company. It was small, but nice and organized. The folks that worked at the facility were friendly to me.

Guess not enough profit for them to do that!

They once had very high quality bibles, but then went down a lot!

Y'all do know that Thompson was an associate of Aimee Semple McPherson? (dean at her 'L.I.F.E. Bible College' in Los Angeles)

Here they are together (ad, Santa Ana Register 1925)

Hey Jerome, did you know that Anthony Quinn used to play in her church band? He was even a fledgling preacher under her tutelage.
