Bro. Dan: I will definately lift up Jared and his family.
Rob: Sorry to hear about your fall, hope you feel better soon.
I can't stay long, mom has gone to pick up stuff for sandwiches. It is too hot and I am too tired to cook which is good. I broke one of my toes Friday night and being on my feet all day at work is getting the best of me.

Good evening all,

Dan: Praying for Jared and family.

Islandgirl: Praying for your broken toe.

Rob: Praying for your ribs and head (it's MY job to do the falling around here!). :tonofbricks:

***NOTICE***

The Coffee House will be serving a Continental breakfast until Rob heals, I get this house painted, or Cindi learns to cook (whichever comes first).

Have a good evening all!

Hmmmm, maybe Chris can come in a cook for us. Cooking is his elective for the time being. Don't even ask how someone who can't cook can teach her son how to cook. don't bother, cause T is teaching him! :D

here Sue, my kids will help out!

coffee is on, there is milk and juice in the fridge. the kids have eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and grits cooking. there's a fresh fruit tray in the fridge as well...you can thank the little guy at wal mart for that :applause:

gee Cindi, you sure were up late last night.

i'm not sure what my day will hold but, i have already been to the store for a fruit and milk run. i really need to do some sewing but, i needed to clean my bathroom yesterday. instead i spent the day in the room the girls share. at least i can find things in there again.

have a good one all.

Rob, get some much needed rest.

Good Morning Everyone!

Cuz, you still hanging in there?

Thanks for putting breakfast on Tanya. Now that I'm back I'll fill my plate!

I've been to the high school this morning. Today was the first of the school year meeting with Cass' teachers to bring them up to speed on how to deal with her migraines and the absences they cause. Nice easy meeting. They called Cass in since she is getting old enough that she needs to be learning how to deal with these things on her own and scared her to death! We got a late start this morning and she had to sign in and thought she was in trouble. It was a learning experience for her, but she did fine. All that is left to be done is to get an updated letter and a medication form from the doc. All school meetings should be this easy.

In case I haven't said this lately. I really love homeschooling and not having to go to nasty stressful meetings at the middle school. Chris is pretty happy about it as well.

The rest of today will hopefully be spent SEWING! I did enough housework yesterday.

Ya'll have fun!

Aww Cuz! I'm so sorry. What does this do for your camping trip?

I'll still be going camping Cuz, just won't be able to do very much.

Good Morning Everybody,

Thanks to everybody for your thoughts and your prayers. It is so humbling to have brothers and sisters who are so very busy with their lives, but who will still stop and pray for me.

Actually I'm doing a bit better today...if I don't breathe, cough, or move. I was able to see the xrays of my ribs and Ouch!, they even hurt to look at. The xrays didn't show anything in my head [yes...I hear the snickers], but I still have a monster headache...almost feels like a migraine...almost. I hate taking pain meds but I gave in anyway.

You guys are out of luck...right now I couldn't lift an empty spoon let alone cook, but we are fortunate to have many excellent cooks who frequent the CGCH. And BTW my Cuz knows how to cook. She just prefers to conserve her energy and cooking skills[remember, you don't guzzle an entire bottle of $5000.00 wine. You savor it and make the experience last.]

Probably the first time Cindi's been compared to an alcoholic beverage isn't it? I meant it as a compliment Cuz, really.

Time to stop :type: before I start :tear: . I'll try to check back in later.

At least I'm a valuable alcholic beverage!

Right now I could just about become a nice glass of whine. My pharmacy informed me that they haven't been able to get a particular med my kids rely on and don't know if they'll ever get any. Called the next one on the list of pharmacies and they believe the med is no longer being manufactured.  Called a third and they had it. <sigh of relief> and said they hadn't heard of any problems with getting it. They had enough to fill both kids perscriptions. Problem is this pharmacy is rather small and not as busy as the other two (CVS and WAlmart) and doesn't go through stock nearly as fast, so it may just be that it hasn't affected them yet.

I gotta go research and figure this out. This was the med I had planned to start leaving at school for Cass. Perscription meds at public school are a pain to get instituted. You can't just take in the bottle of meds, you have to also have a form signed by the doc with instructions. I don't want to through all that with this med if I'm just going to have to change to something different in a month(hopefully this batch will last a month).

Hey all,
Cindy, good luck on the meds. Rob-take it easy and have fun camping. Think about me while I am working on Labor Day weekend. I will be outside both days in the heat. It isn't sounding like much fun from what I have been told. Oh well, I get paid and also get a day off for it so I can't complain too much. I had better go, three year old is wanting to play and is banned from the computer unless I am right there with her. She would stay on it all day if she could!

Good morning all,
I brought in some toast and eggs. The jelly and fresh fruit is in the fridge. There is cereal on the counter as well if you want it. Also, if you would like some tomato and okra gumbo, its in the fridge as well. It needs to be eaten. I gotta run now, I need to find something to wear to work hopefully I won't have to do a load of laundry before I have to leave. Y'all have a blessed day!

Just wanted to let everybody know that the midwest did not have an erthquake this morning. The 5.5 seismic reading was caused by my tripping and falling. I am now the owner of two fractured ribs, and a mild concussion.

Now I know what woke me up! I was wondering what all that rumble was.... Bro. Rob, I know how you feel and I empathize with you. Glad your good sense of humor was not broken, and your fingers still seems to be moving. :) Praying for your speedy recovery! In the mean while avoid sneezing, coughing and laughing very hard.... Stay well! :type:

Good Morning Everyone! (I hope!)

The first stomach virus of the school year has hit the menagerie. Yuck, yuck and double yuck! Tanya, be glad your kids didn't play with mine yesterday. This particular bug hits with no warning whatsoever. One minute you're fine, the next....well, let's just say you're NOT fine! I have it and the girls both have it. Don't know about Chris. He already is fighting a summer cold and hasn't gotten up yet.

Sooo, it's a good thing Island girl provided food for the day, cause the only thing that coming from my kitchen today will be chicken soup and crackers!

I'm off to distract myself from how bad I feel!

Good morning all,

Brent is off to school and I am going to try and finish painting the trim in his bedroom so we can get the furniture back in place and start on the living room.

Brent got the insulation up on our high gable on the front of the house last night. I don't want him working much longer than an hour on school days. He won't get any work done tonight as it is church night.

Time to put a mess of "Katie's Ribs" in the crockpot for supper. It's still hot and humid here and I've had to turn the A/C on again. We didn't get near the amount of rain that the farmers need.

All you 'sickies' get well!!!

Have a good day all!

I'm sorry you are in the "sick house" Cindi! Now I don't feel so bad that Amie didn't get to play with Jenna. Amie says she rather be sick than miss time with a friend. she just doesn't remember the last time she was sick! Get to feeling better soon!

So far today I have, not killed my ill tempered kids:godisgood: , went and paid 3 bills, took a load of stuff to the dump (had a talk with the kids that the dump was a place you put trash...not stuff, things or *people* that you don't like) and been to wal mart 2 times:BangHead:.

I did plan on sewing a dress but, I don't have the energy. I'm just going to sit here connected to my computer, help the kids with their school work and veg out until church tonight.

hope you all have a good day!

I just left daughter's house and actually "burped" the baby! It has been a long time since I held such a tiny child. In putting him over my shoulder, I had thoughts of grabbing his feet so he didn't go all the way....Never mind, all went well, and he was safe with me.........

Cheers,

Jim

Hi,
Just got back from this week's chemo treatment, so all you "sickies" stay away from this house, please!

My sinuses are starting their 'thing', the anti-nausea med has the headache going. I'm going to take a nap.
C'ya!:wavey: :wavey:

I'm alive!!!!

And staying away from Gayla. She has more than enough yucky stomach stuff going on without what we have!

I slept for 3 hours and it seems to have done me some good. I'm starving now. Got to consider what might be safe to eat. I had a nice cup of tea, but that didn't stop the hunger pains. Hmmm.

Anyhow, I'm thinking I'll get up and play with the sewing machine. I have several new embroidery designs to try out.

Good Afternoon Everybody,

Jim I hope somebody got a picture of you holding Tanner. I would love to have seen your face.

Gayla here's hoping that the nausea passes quickly, and you're up and around again quickly.

Cuz never fails does it? One person comes down with it and the rest of the family quickly follows.

I went to my family physician this morning, and lo-and-behold, when reviewing the xrays the Radiologist found another broken rib. Turns out it must have been camera shy. 3 is definitely enough.

I am busily following Dr Barnabas' orders...not to breathe, move, or cough. Does wonders for my complexion.

Mark this date on the calendar: When can you ever remember my saying that dinner tonight is...take-out? Too bad some of you CGCH chefs don't deliver, then I'd know I'm getting good food.

Camping starts this coming Monday, and that should be something. Glad we have an RV and not a tent. I don't imagine I'll be doing too much at the campsite though.

It's time to take a pain med and say goodbye. :wavey:

Update on Jared Fisher (guitar25)

We saw Jared and family yesterday.

Jared is still in the coma - his intercranial pressure is good - the doctor removed the sensor yesterday - his eyes are closed - but Jan saw the right one moving - when the nurse swabbed his mouth, tears fell from his eyes - he is still on a ventilator, but he sometimes breathes on his own.

Baby steps - but we are still praying, and ask that you continue to pray.

Dan
